[APP][Pro] Homewizard 🧙‍♂️

Hi there, back with another finding. The batteries remain standby offloading solar capacity to the net, even when he agrees charging would be the best way now..

Yes text isn’t clear enough. Idea is prices are still profitable to return to grid. Let me add some weight to the text. Probably it will start charging in the next hour. Currently checking the code here with my battery and solarpanels and market prices active.

Does this work better?

Oh yeah, if the reasoning weight is visible and maybe can correspond in color towards the ‘Decision Score’ (green laden / blue? ontladen / orange beschermen) :ok_hand:t2::tada:

Good suggestion. let me work on that.

Very nice. The color from ‘beschermen’ changed from orange to blue?

Eh yeah thought it would be better match with shield color icon.

Hi, Jeroen. I’ve been looking for where to begin with the installation of the homewizard, but it’s undoable to read all 3600 messages. So where should I start? We have three cars to charge. We have a Alfen Single Pro and a power outlet switched with a Shelly for a granny. We have one homewizard P1 meter and 1 homewizard home battery. Alfen is hard wired to the P1 meter. If you could point me the direction would be great

Hi Andre, sadly not an easy answer as you even refer to devices that I don’t know or use. The P1 and the battery are easy to add. Follow the instructions during pairing process. First P1 as apiv2 version (as this is mandatory for controlling the battery later).

But all the other devices are not my job or business. Sadly this is what the Homey exosystem is about.

This is all hobby and sometimes I don’t even understand why I’ve put so much time in this app.

Hi Jeroen, thanks for the answer. I fully understand you can’t help me with all of this. But perhaps you can show me a link to a page where I can read more about the principles of your app. what are the option, some do’s and dont do. I’ve got the battery working for a year now. I had one of the first batches. Yesterday I added the apiv2 version. Should I remove the old P1 meter? The battery was already connected to my Homey, I can’t add a new device (battery).

First post in this topic does cover some (not all) of those questions.
And yes there will be gaps and questions , but that is what a community is about.

Yes the p1 can be removed. Battery can stay.

Yeah that matches indeed. But for readability (and OCD) the following can be nice (but do as you please of course, it’s your app)

Color matching with HomeWizard LED on battery:

  • Color of ‘laden’ purple
  • Color of ‘ontladen’ green
  • Color of ‘beschermen’ white or something else like orange (if white is unreadable)

And maybe change the colored text back to black and instead color the circles (bolletjes)

But I love the changes you make :ok_hand:t2:

Oh you want to like to see alignment with Homewizard color scheme. Never thought of that.

v3.13.70 (beta/test)

Hi John, can you share an update please? Is the CPU load gone (crashes?)

How to read this? No purple reasoning, but purple ‘wins’ (time Is 22:14). I do understand the ‘standby’ modus because of the strict ‘no discharging’‘ below €0,30

Which version? I already added some “blue” reasons as those were missed.
But working on improvements, also changing from hourly to 15min prices to be used.
Further the protection of 60% threshold makes that reason fail as it is not confident enough to apply.

v3.14.0 (test/beta) → large update see changelog 2nd post in this topic

Yes the new version is a large update indeed and very nice! Working great so far… :+1:t2:
