Sorry a little more investigation on my side : Let support know here is where they can find the bug on their system -
Thank you Jamie, it’s btw prety old bug
I have also tried to open ticket with Athom that time, without success
Hi Jamie! I wonder if it would be possible to support maintenance/repairing of an existing group where one or several of the containing devices have been deleted?
I think that is a bug that people are experiencing, when I next work on the app Ill have a look and see whats going on.
Honestly I just opened my code editor for the first time in 9 months today - im not working on the group app but something else and I remembered why I stopped … the TypeScript definitions by athom for the v3 sdk are all still broken 9 months later ![]()
Is that related GitHUB issue?
Yep
I’ve different window/door sensor in use with group app. If I add a new group and choose “sensor” → “contact sensor”, I’ll get this devices:
- Aqara window/door sensor (zigbee / class=sensor)
- Eve Window/Door sensor (matter / class=sensor)
But this devices are not shown:
- Telekom DECT window/door sensor (fritzbox-bridge / class=other)
For the last one I can change the type of class in device settings and switched it to “sensor”:
I used the developer tools to verify this:
But if I want to add a new group and choose “sensor” → “contact sensor” again, the fritzbox-bridge devices are not available. I already restarted the group-app, but it doesn’t matter.
How can I solve this ?
Please check in Developer Tools → Devices which capabilities the Telekom DECT Sensor uses. This is the important parameter to recognize the sensor as a door/window contact sensor.
It must be boolean capability type named alarm_contact.
Thank you @DirkG ! I checked the Evehome window sensor and it shows this:
But the Telekom window sensor does not:
It uses alarm_generic also when switched to type=sensor.
Now I used a blended group. The sensors are shown and can be added. The alarm_generic is used by default, after creating the group.
Thank you for this hint ![]()
Hello,
thanks for this app !!
Could it be possible to know which item in the group triggers whatever alert is set ?
I have created a “door sensors” group which triggers the alarm if any door/window is opened while out. Though i’d like to know which door/window of the group has been opened.
Cheers
Maybe use the heimdall app? It’s made for that purpose👍🏻
Hi
The app has stopped working properly. I need to restart the app, then it works great for a day, then it stops again.
Is this a know issue?
No this isnt a known issue, not had anyone else with that problem for this app.
Hi, I just started to use this app in it works fantastic. For example I created a group of two Robb Smarrt smart sockets which are including a power meter. Due to the fact these Robb Smarrt devices are from the ‘lamp’ type, the grouped device contains the combined insights for volts, watts and KWh. However I also have a couple of Shelly PM Mini to measure the power consumption for some sockets but as these are from the ‘sensor’ type and the sensors section does not contain a correct sensor to support these power meters, I can’t get it to work. Is there a possibility this app can be updated so it will support a grouped device supporting Shellp PM Mini and thus just like the Robb Smarrt devices will have the combined insights? I need this for example to simply get the total power consumption of my cooker which is making use of two phases.
Hello @Jamie very nice tool, and use it in my homey config, with sunpanels, Batteries/accu’s, between energie meter’s.
Could you add a icon for batterie/accu’s
see Accu Icons - Free SVG & PNG Accu Images - Noun Project
But all so for a lot off other item’s/device’s they have there https://thenounproject.com/ free icon files
Hi, I’m having the same issue as Morten. Periodically lights don’t turn on or off or Dim according to flows. Then check the device and have to restart the app to make the group work.
Homey 19 pro
Restarted app last night because group was not working. Then it worked fine. Then this morning, same thing happened.
Send through a diagnostic when it fails - let me know the name of the group which has failed along with the name of the devices in the group. Don’t rely on me knowing what “should be” ins group by its name etc. also if it’s not in English - I won’t look at it unless there are very clear instructions and translations for that’s going on.
It would be nice if the Dimming time of the lights could be set, in how many seconds it takes to reach the set value.
This would be good for a wake-up call, if all the lights in the room didn’t immediately turn on 100%.
Or that my retinas don’t burn out immediately after watching a movie. ![]()
For example: Dim to 80% during: 300 sec
I recommend @robertklep transition app if you’re looking for that functionality.
Set it up to dim the group
