Dear all
I am experiencing intermittent issues with Scene Activation events from Fibaro Dimmer 2 modules (FGD-212) on my Homey Pro 2023 (firmware 13.5.1).
The physical switching of the dimmers works reliably, but the Scene Activation events used to trigger Homey Flows do not always seem to be processed correctly.
I have inspected the Z-Wave logs and noticed repeated entries such as:
unsupported command class COMMAND_CLASS_SCENE_ACTIVATION - SCENE_ACTIVATION_SET
The logs show that Homey does receive and decode the Scene Activation command (for example, Scene ID 26) from the Fibaro Dimmer 2. However, it subsequently logs the unsupported command class error.
Interestingly, in the same log, Homey does successfully send commands to another Z-Wave device (node 48) shortly after receiving the Scene Activation event. The target device receives the commands and reports its updated state. So this does not appear to be a general Z-Wave communication issue.
The problem is that the behaviour is inconsistent: sometimes the relevant Flow is triggered and works as expected, while at other times it does not.
I understand that similar Scene Activation issues were reported by other Homey users in connection with earlier firmware versions. Could you please tell me whether this is a known issue in the current firmware (13.5.1), or whether there may be a problem in the handling of Scene Activation commands by the Z-Wave stack or Fibaro app?
I can provide the relevant diagnostic reports and complete Z-Wave logs if helpful.
Please help. Thanks
