Tips for dashboard with Calendar, ToDo, Radio and all-in-one Music control

Hi,

I want to start with a wallmounted tablet with a dashboard. I prefer the default homey dashboard because it is plain and simple but stylish, but I found some restrictions.

  • All in one music player/control widget. I want to have one widget that shows what is playing currently at on of my (google nest audio/google chromecast) devices, and able to control the sound, and when playing a speaker group, control per speaker. In stead of having a widget for each separate speaker.

  • A widget to select from a list of radio stations (would be nice if I can select a top 3 or 5 only, or some quick buttons to a few), and play that radio station on a selected speaker (group). I know there is a radio widget, but it has one widget per station, and I do not want to have e.g. 3 -5 of them on the dashboard.

  • I want to have agenda widget showing items of today (e.g. from google calendar).

  • I want to have a todo list (preferable connected/from Apple reminders).

  • Travel time to work (would be nice if I can get travel time to next calendar appointment)

Do you have any tip on how to achieve this? Or tips to better dashboard systems that can be used with homey?

Hi Michel,

For the first 2 points, you can consider using “sub” dashboards

To which you can add a link back to the “main" dash f.i.

Point 3: A Google calender howto: Homey Dashboards | Megathread - #365 by Peter_Kawa

But with help from the iCalCalendar app you can show events using notifications, like on a text variable widget, Enhanced Device Widget (example), DataVista app (example).

Point 5: with use of the HERE app, you can create a virtual device showing the travel time and cam image with a map f.i. But you can also use the notification possibilities shown at Point 3.

I use Home Assistant; Howto (and howto install):
