The new Philips Hue Bridge

We’re on it! If all goes well in testing, we expect to release the update sometime next week. Our goal is to make sure everything works smoothly and without any extra steps for you, so thanks for sticking with us!

We’re working with Signify to ensure that migrating to the new hub requires no action from your side in Homey. Once the migration is complete in the Hue app, Homey will automatically recognize the change and continue working seamlessly.

Please note: if devices are added to the new bridge before doing the migration, a maintenance action may be required.

That’s good news, thanks.

Who will be first, Athom to support the big bridge, or Signify to support from two old bridges to the big bridge? My guess is Athom wins.

In my case I have to wait for both anyway.

Great news !

Will there be a test version first for users who want to try it first ? Or not

Is that not the same as ‘You try or you don’t try it’?

Ouch. That was harsh.

Is it so unreasonable to think that there was collaboration prior to release? I don’t feel like it is.

If we get like for like functionality then maybe its reasonable to think that but if we also get motion zones and new stuff I for one will be happy to have waited for a week.

Lets wait and see and cross our fingers

Question related to Matter. Got 1 bridge migrated to PRO and used matter to add these to Homey. So far so good, was using moods anyway. Now i added a few more to the PRO from another bridge.

So asked to add these to Homey via Matter as well, the PRO gives me a code, started the add process on Homey and… spinning, or it sometimes says already connected to Homey.

This is my first Matter encounter, so i might do something not right… how can I add more devices from PRO to homey???

That would make the PRO bridge available to the Homey Hue app and migration easy(er). But if i am moving the devices from Homey Hue app to Matter, that should not be dependent on the new app version i hoped… Just plain Matter, where Hue PRO is a hub/bridge.

Wow, you don’t need to do anything, it just appears in PRO bridge zone

Did you add the hue pro bridge via matter to honey ?

does this means that the pro will be also supported on the homey 2019 (without matter)?
(next week)

Yes it will

I did. Yes. Which it does with ease.

Yes, wait for Homey migration if you have the option. Still some work if you have a lot of hue devices.

And migration of non-signify-hue devices like innr, osram will mean additional work during bridge migration :expressionless:

Homey migration? new for me.
where should i see that? or is this not about migrating de hue app?

Read a few posts up from Doekse

I’m one of those stupid enough to replace the old bridge, reconnect all my non-hue devices (about 10 of them) and being very satisfied when all lights worked. Then came the ‘oh wait, I need to migrate in Homey as well…’ Dang, no bridge found :frowning: Luckily every flow works at the moment by using the tip to bring the bridge pro into Homey pro through matter. But still waiting for official updates

Hello,

I can't get the integration for the nue HUE Bridge Pro via Matter. "No devices found" message appears. Any advice?
