Following, hoping for updated support from athom.
I will wait to buy the new hue bridge pro until all these things are working. Until then I will continue with my 3 bridges as this work problemfree. Then Motionaware etc. must wait ![]()
The entire Bridge Pro is currently not supported, if I’m correct? Does that mean that if I migrate, I’ll lose my lights in Homey completely, or will I just need to re-add them?
It’s not working via the hue app but will only work for now with matter
But also then you need to re add the devices again
I’m trying to use my new Hue Bridge Pro with Homey 2023. It works fine using Matter, but since I need scenes, I need to use the Hue App - but it doesn’t see the new bridge.
Isn’t Homey 2023 working with the new Hue Bridge Pro (using the Philips Hue App)?
Once again:
The new Hue Bridge Pro does not yet work with Homey or is not recognised by Homey!
The only option is to transmit the lamps with Matter.
We’ll have to wait and see whether the motion detector works at some point.
I don’t understand this Bridge Pro hype. At the moment, the old Bridge can do everything better than the Pro. Even registering the Hue lamps directly to Homey makes more sense than the Pro.
Please wait until the Pro can be registered to Homey. Only then will we find out whether the new Bridge brings any advantages at all with Homey.
Relax! It’s nice weather and the sun is shining ![]()
IMO @Undertaker is the one who is relaxed ![]()
Everybody else is too exited ![]()
Woops… I was to quick… one of my 2 bridges migrated, just to notice that it isn’t supported yet in Homey…. Glad that it’s still daylight here ![]()
Same here :-|.
I have added my Bridge Pro via Matter.
It brought all my lights and accessories in but your cannot use rooms, zones or scenes within flows which is a problem for me but maybe fine for others. I should add adding via Matter took hours… it may have even crashed.
I did have to delete all the devices and lights from the old bridge and move the new matter connected ones back to the correct Homey rooms. An exercise I guess I will be repeating again when the official app is update.
Still, the new Hue Bridge pro is a significant upgrade from two bridge v2s
The official app, when updated, is supposed to facilitate the migration from an older Hue bridge to the new one. So you would not have to re-pair your devices. See also my earlier post with statements from Athom:
If you want to move to the new Hue bridge before the update app is available, then you will have to perform the migration manually, including re-pairing the devices.
My Hue motion sensors are working…I’m finding that only the scenes from the Hue app don’t yet work.
You connect via matter
Tmvia the hue app the new one will not work till the update comes live
I added the Bridge Pro using Matter. The icons are generic, rather than Hue-specific. An irritation. No scenes available. Problem.
My advice is don’t migrate to the Bridge Pro if you are using Homey Pro Flow or Hue specific modes. The official Homey Pro App does not support the Hue Bridge Pro. You can use Matter, but it is not as feature rich. Very generic.
Do we know when the official Homey Pro integration will be released? I can’t find anything about its release. Days, weeks, months…….away?
I emailed with Dennis from support and he told me that the update for the app will probably be available by the end of September. I have the bridge Pro here in the box so I’ll just wait,…

That new Hue box is not going to be supported within 5 minutes, is it? You can be irritating your butt off if you’re impatient like that.
I wonder, what makes you think the generic Matter support by Homey will support the very specific Hue scenes suddenly? That’ll never happen.
Just be a little patient for Athom to update the Hue app ![]()
Athom never has been faster than the speed of light when it comes to updating their apps.
Imho that is.
On Home Assistant it was, it was supported even before the official launch of the device.
I think the issue with Homey isn’t so much supporting the new hub, but the migration of existing Homey devices, which is a Homey problem, not a Hue problem. But I’m sure Athom is working “with the Hue team” on this, as they say…
I think it’s perfectly ok to be a little disappointed or impatient considering that Hue is the centrepiece of most smart home setups. At the same time, this little disruption is making me realise just how unsophisticated Hue automations are vs Homey.
