I have tried to connect my SilentGliss curtains control 433 MHz with Homey using Somfy app but no luck. Can Homey still not be taught to learn the signals of my remote
No.
With Homey’s Somfy RTS app, it doesn’t learn the remote control, you just use the remote to put the curtains in to programming mode. The curtains then learn the unique ID of Homey so they allow Homey to control them.
If you have followed the procedure correctly and it still doesn’t work, then it could be because Homey is too far away from the curtains.
Thank you for the reply.
The manual of the SilentGliss SG5100 says for adding new transmitter
1 Press stop and hold for 5s
2 Red light flash slowly, please do next step within 10s
3 Press up of new transmitter
4 Blue light flash 3 times. Added.
If I use the Somfy RTS app to add a device I see sunscreen and RTS switch, no curtain. I use sunscreen.
I suppose step 1 puts it into the programming mode
When do I push next to add the system to Homey. I tried after step4, it looks like something happens on the symbol, but do not have control on the curtain. Distance to Homey is 4m. Do you have a suggestion?
It has been a few years since I used the RTS app but I guess you would perform step 1 and then follow the procedure in the Homey app.
It’s also possible the RTS app doesn’t support curtains but I think i used it with mine.
Unfortunately I found the app was unreliable so bought myself a Tahoma, which I have been using for a long time now.
