Hello,

My workshop is located 15 or 20m from the house where Homey is located (50cm stone wall for home and workshop so I don’t even try the wireless range). I want to integrate some Z-wave or ZigBee module into it. The workshop is connected to the same internet network as the house (router after box).
What can I put to retrieve the information of the modules that I will put? Is there a gateway that could retrieve this information, send it to the local network and be retrieved by Homey?

I think either a Philips Hue or IKEA gateway could work: they have a wired connection, can handle the Zigbee devices in your workshop, and have Homey support.

I don’t find anything about the compatibility of the gateway with another device brand (like Xiaomi, aqara)

The Xiaomi Mi Home app developer states that he “…added the ability to control Zigbee devices of Xiaomi gateway”.
