Hi, I am using 13 Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 in my setup and face constantly three main issues:
1.) About every second week one Roller Shutter stops working. I can reinclude it to make it working again but that is really annoying as I have to update my flows again.
2.) I already lost three Roller Shutters entirely due to the blue light of death. See this German thread for more info: Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 - Ohne Funktion - Pulsiert nur Blau
3.) Some other Roller Shutter does not reinclude but also does not show the blue light.
I decided to stop waisting my time and will now change every Roller Shutter that stops working for an alternative. I found two that do not work on Wifi: The Shelly Quibino Wave Shutter and the Aeotec Pico Shutter. The Shelly one gets pretty good ratings here in the forum. Any having negative experience with it or can recommend something else?
P.S.: Also contacted Athom support regarding this issues but they could also not give me a satisfying answer.
I’m also looking for an alternative for my Fibaro Roller Shutter 3’s. I have 12 of them installed; already lost 4 of them the past year due to the same blue light of death issue. Im getting tired of continuously replacing them. My store keeps supplying me with new roller shutter 4’s to replace the rs3 but one roller shutter 4 became unreachable today, im afraid this one is broken too, which means the roller shutter 4 faces the same issue.
If this is the case im also looking for a more reliable alternative to the fibaro ones. Im thinking of replacing them with shelly qubino wave shutters when another fibaro module fails.
I also lost 3 Fibaro RS3’s on the one and only roller shutter in my home.
And I am almost certain it is a Homey related issue. First they stop responding on zwave and some time later they cannot be controlled with physical buttons…
Therefore I ordered a Shelly Qubino Wave Shutter (Z-Wave 800) today. Its also much cheaper!

I have the same problem and have 18 Roller Shutter 3 type controllers but have in de past few years replaced them probably twice. around 30 new controllers. a part of them I got swapped as guaranty, but after a while they stopped swapping them because the problem is more an Homey related problem. First is was the old homey and after I changed to the Pro version the problem stayed. Then is was the firmware of the Homey and I should wait for the update. But after the update the problem is still there and I have to swap again 4 units. I wil by now so different alternatives and hope they work better with the Homey control unit. But what I do not understand is way Homey is not looking into it and try to fix it. many people have the samen problem So please Fix is Homey! if other brands work better I will give you an update.
I replaced my Fibaro Shutter and Switch modules by Shelly Wave modules. I can already say the Shelly Wave stuff work fine for some months now! (especially after updating the firmware using a HomeAssistant VM in combination with a zwave dongle).
