I’ve installed a Shelly 1L Gen3 in Homey via the Shelly app. It works very well. The app shows this default icon on the app tile:
This icon looks like the Shelly 1L. So that’s fine and clearly recognizable.
Today I updated the Shelly 1L Gen3 so I can use Matter. I’ve added the Shelly via Matter in Homey. This shows a different icon on the app tile:
How can I change this to the default Shelly icon? I’m suprised that this icon isn’t available in the icon list.
Anyone an idea how to fix this?
By just using the regular LAN connection instead of Matter

You have to ask the Shelly app developer to add a specific icon for this device when it’s connected over Matter.
First of all, you shouldn’t. But if you really want to use it then you should contact the app developer using the support email in the app store
Also, Matter device are more generic so I don’t know if it’s possible to add custom icons for it
Why shouldn’t I use Matter? Because of its immaturity and susceptibility to errors?
Yes, exactly. It’s an experimental standard, it’s very unstable still. And if you’re using the WiFi anyway, you can also use the LAN connection
