I found others sharing their “Flow won’t run” but I’m not sure if it applies to mine issue or not. None of my flows work and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. For example, I have a Kasa light switch that controls my back porch light. I created flow that goes like this: When Back Porch Light Turned on → Delay 30 seconds → Back Porch Light Turn off. Nothing happens in Homey Pro when I press physical switch to turn light on. It doesnt even detects that it was on. It only works if i create it as a simple flow, turn light on phisical switch and pres “play” on flow, then it runs and turn off lightr after 30 seconds. What am i doing wrong. I alos have simple flow to send me notification when my washer is done, but it doesnt do it, I can hear Alexa makes anouncment but Homey dosn’t do anything.
So that’s the issue. A flow cannot start if Homey doesn’t detect the light gets turned on.

Hi @Nephilim983 ,
sometimes there is a real issue with the Homey Pro, sometimes there are misunderstandings while creating the flow. So would you please provide the flow as screenshot or saved link?
Here is a simple example what i was trying to accomplish, noting more than light on timer. When i press my physical light switch, turn on light and then turn it off after x time. This doesn’t work, phisical press doesn’t even show in switches timeline. In this screenshot to the right, all of these were done by other means but none of them are on phisical press. I can triger it from here or other assistants, but not phisical press. Curently my workaround for all Kasa switches that i have is to create virtual switch, and in Google Home, when i press phisical switch it turns on or off virtual one. That virtual one can triger flow in Homey.
I also have a Samsung Washer and Dryer conected through SmartThings (official app). I was trying to send push notification when cycle is done (have a triger for that) but nothing happens when washer or dryer are done. I get anouncment on Alexa with no issues but no push notifications on Homey.
Thank you,
I guess that flow already existed longer than the hours, when the Back Porch Light was turned on the last time.
Did it ever work?
But it works with a virtual device?
That is strange.
First start to check, where it stops to work.
Delete the delay card and connect the other cards directly. Then you can see, if the delay card was just hung up, e.g. by a reboot at the wrong time. There are many posts that propose to us delay just for a very small number of seconds.
You can add a push notification directly after turned on
And you can add another start card, e.g. at 15:00 hours and link it directly to the turn off card.
Probably you see than more about the reason.
If that doesn’t help, there could be a an issue on the devices, i.e. connection lost and repaired. That would leave some zombies while the virtual device can be linked to the newly connected device.
Could you please also help us in showing how the device was linked to the virtual device and how the flow looks for the virtual device?
Reason why it works with virtual devices is that i have the same devices in Google home, including created virtual devices. In Homey Pro, it does not detect when physical switch changes state to on. Google Home does, and i created automation there to when Kasa switch is changed to on to change Homey virtual device to on as well, and when Kasa is off, to turn virtual device off. Homey detects changes in virtual devices. So, for this simple flow to operate i need additional assistant beside the Homey, and looking at it that way, I could have automated all of this in Google home without needing Homey Pro. This flow never worked in Homey Pro. This same flow works when i change from Kasa switch to virtual one. I did that with other switches in my house tying up to 3x60 seconds delay cards together. It just doesn’tt work directly with my TP-Link Kasa light switches i have throughout my home. I managed to resove other issues i had but not this one.
