Mi Homey

Two Apps are available to connect the Xiaomi hub. I asked the developer (he made both Apps) which one to use. He replied “So far, Mi Home”.

Ok, thats seems correct.
I got this one to connect to my Xiaomi hub after the soldering.
The other one doesn’t work for me.

Having an issue adding Xiaomi buttons (1 thru 4x pressing).

I have successfully added the gateway and was able to include a temp sensor and two double switches (with neutral) to Homey via the Mi Homey (v1.1.4) App.

However, I also have two Wireless switches (the 1 thru 4 times press version) in the Xiaomi gateway. All work in the Xiaomi App, but they do not show up as a device in the Mi Homey App. I also installed the Xiaomi Mi Home App (v3.0.5) and they do not show up there either.

Has anyone been able to add these wireless buttons?

I have the same odd thing, have four xiaomi gateways, only two show their child devices and the other two do not… Any suggestions are more than welcome

To make it even more odd; in my case some of the gateway’s child devices are seen. Others aren’t.

Hi,

I have a wireless switch (MI) added to the Xiaomi hub and later to Homey, it works flawless…

Did you try the soldering mentioned before in this post?
This worked for me…
Before it showed nothing, now everything works fine…
It al depends if port 9898 is open on the gateway.

So, it can work. Will test some more.
BTW port 9898 must be open; I can see other devices that are connected to the hub.

As in Dutch “solderen”, that’s a bridge to far for me:-)

Yes, solderen
It’s quite easy, was my first time of Solderen as well…
I combined the posts of Eternity and the movie of Eduardo Rodrguez…
For me it was worth it…

No it isn’t. It is dead :frowning:

The developer did respond to a DM. Let’s hope he will find some energy and time to give the App some more love

It is getting lots of love on Github

But just not here… or in the app store…

What did he add?

because of the flaud zigbee i order a xiaomi hub and hope contactions with different aqara sensors, switches are getting better!! or am i to optimstic.

Well, I do have a Xiaomi gateway. Even the xiaomi gateway does need to be resetted every now and then because he lost connection to some of the nodes. It is more reliable than the homey itself (homey never looses connection to the xiaomi gateway), but it isn’t 100% failsafe.

Interesting choice of updating only through github. This is far from ideal for anyone that uses homey and the apps how they are supposed to; through the official app and App Store.

Also this means that backup/restore breaks the app ad you have to install it through cli and a restore would install the latest store version which is different.

Any idea why the owner doesn’t use the proper way of publishing updates?

Well, it is not really relevant anymore since the dev has taken control of the Xiaomi Mi Home app. Everything is migrated to this app. I would expect for the “Mi Homey” app to be obsolete very soon…

Does anyone over here knows if you can add more than one gateway to the app?
I can’t…

EDIT
Found it; the newer gateways, have a closed 9898-port.
