Issues adding Aqara ZigBee T1 devices to Homey Pro 2019

Does anybody know, if resetting my ZigBee network and then restore from the latest backup will have any chance of fixing issues with the ZigBee device table?

What are the issues you are running into?

I’m no longer able to add ZigBee devices and I only have 24 of them. It seems like the device are rec-ognised and they start paring, but then at the very last step in the process something goes wrong, and I get a ‘Try again’ but if I do I get the same result. I have tried with both Aqara and Ikea devices and I have devices from both brands working. I have read about a table in the ZigBee processer that can be corrupted and that resetting the ZigBee network is the only option. I was just wondering if a backup/restore could mitigate the burden of a network reset.

How many router devices do you have in your network? The 2019 Homey has very limited space for directly connected devices, and it sounds like you’ve run out of it.

Another thing to try: if the devices you are trying to add are battery powered ones, make sure to press the button on the device during pairing every 2 seconds or so.

This will keep the device awake and prevents it from stop communicating with your Homey during pairing.

I have 11 router devices, also close to the once that wont work. In the Homey Developer ZigBee table I can actually see 3 out 4 that failed during paring, but I do not receive data from the 3.

Okay. What you can do next:
Replace the power supply by a decent one of a well known brand. It needs to output 5VDC - 2A minimum.
Why? The original power supply can degrade over time, it starts to deliver lower voltages, which especially zigbee seems to be very sensitive to.

When that doesn’t help, start Homey in recovery mode and choose “Full software download” → this installs the firmware from scratch, without touching all your work.
This has solved the weirdest zigbee issues for the Pro 2016-2019 series, it might do the trick
But, always keep a backup at hand.

I guess it won’t help much, because the backup will restore the “bad” zigbee config as well.
