Ikea Tradfri problems adding devices or not working stabel

hopefully some of you can help me.

I am using the new Homey Pro now for some years. Allot of things work great but all devices of Ikea pff i could get a stroke from those.

I have the square ‘‘snelkoppelingsknop’’ witch i have to press 10 times before it works while the other same button is right next to it works fine most of the time. Then months later its the other way arround. New batteries, repair, removing, reboot app, reboot Homey en adding them again is always a challenge. Press 4 times lights flashes. then keep pusing or not whatever is a lotery and takes allot of attempts and when you are lucky you get them added.

Same for the movingsensors. Tody it took me 45 minutes to add one again after repairing failed. Tried it al. New batteries, restart app, restart homey, pressing sow the device is not getting in sleep modus, not pressing sow the device is getting in sleepmodus etc etc. Is there anything to solve this or is it just a fact that de offical Tradfri app is terrible?

This has nothing to do with the app, but (probably) with a bad Zigbee network. Don’t expect a range of more than a few meters for any Zigbee device. If you want a larger network, or want to make it more robust against interference, you have to use Zigbee routers (“repeaters”) to extend the range of your network.

Another possible reason could be that Homey’s get shipped with either a bad power supply, a bad power cable, or both. Try replacing them to see if that helps.

Thanks, its drama. A repeater is also just a powered zigbee router right. Like the Tretakt from Ikea.

And how do you fix your zigbee network. I understand you first start with your powered ones but when you extend you dont have that choice anymore.

Yes, the Tretakt is also a router.

You can try to take Homey off power for about 30 minutes to force your Zigbee devices to rebuild the network when Homey gets online again.
