How avoid Ziggbee - Matter interference?

I read in the comments, that it is not recommnded using matter and ziggbee parallel with Homey, as it might come to interference cause on the same chip protocoll. So my question is, if the zigbee devices are connected to another Bridge, f.e. IKEA Dirigera and Bridge shared via HomeKit to Homey, will it still be an possible interference problem or will the ziggbee signal be handled not by Homey, but by the Dirigera bridge?

I reseted my Homey Pro and want to start from the scratch.

Thread (not Matter) and Zigbee use the same chip on Homey, and it’s advisable to use only of those protocols on Homey. Which means that if you use Homey for Thread and the Dirigera for Zigbee, potential issues caused by running both protocols on Homey (hopefully) won’t occur.

Thanks for clarification. I will also first bind all my matter devices with HomeKit, as I had the problem, that devices weren’t reachable on Homey. With first paring with HK I have also a fallback.

Is there a recommendation how to pair the devices later with Homey? Using the through “Homey Pro” or “iOS” pair option? I also don’t want to interfere by having too many thread networks at home.

If they are already paired with HK, you need to get a new pairing code from HK (you can’t use the original pairing code anymore) and I assume use the “iOS” option to pair them.

You can use multiple bridges (I have multiple ZigBee bridges here in my house as well), but you need to make sure that the ZigBee channels of the bridges don’t interfere with each other. I recently had an issue that my Hue lights were responding slowly and it was fixed by changing the Hue bridge’s ZigBee channel.
