Hörmann garage door via MQTT

I’m in the process of moving my device away from HA over to Homey because I got sick of how difficult is was getting to create a half decent looking dashboard.

One of the devices I want to move over is my RS485 Bridge - DIY Hörmann MQTT Adapter - ESP32-S3 Dev Board which I currently have connected through MQTT in HA. The adapter has settings that can be configure so that it connects to a MQTT Server which is currently the HA server.

I know it a longshot, but has anyone had any similar experiences or can you point me in the right direction for getting this device added?

Hello Nick,

This tutorial below is for some other device, but except for the details (entity / capability names), you should be able to build a virtual MQTT device, in order to send & receive data with the device.

When you first install MQTT Explorer, you can lookup the exact topic and payloads (event messages) of the current MQTT data. This is needed for the correct configuring with the virtual MQTT device, and I can help you with it to “translate” into the right format.
