Honeywell T6 Pro Zwave Help!

Hi,

I have managed to migrate about 50 switches and lights over to Homey reasonably well.

But it would seem there isn’t support for the Honeywell T6 Pro Z Wave thermostat.

I am able to add via generic z wave but it doesn’t recognize it nor have an app.

Is anytime able help? I have 15 that I recently bought and can’t return!

Thanks so much

Harry

As there is no app, there is no support to connect directly to Homey.

Please ask Athom to add support using the link on the appstore when no apps are found:

You can use the “Request a brand” tool https://request-a-brand.homey.app/boards/request-a-brand
for your specific Honeywell T6 Pro Z-wave thermostat model.
Make sure to login to this site first.

Are you aware of another gateway I could pair the thermostats to in the meantime that then can be linked with Homey as a work around?

Yes

  1. Buy a €99 Home Assistant Green

or (more effort & more power, less (or more) silver coins)

  1. Install VirtualBox/VMware/Hyper-V/KVM on a (old) pc / laptop, or a thin client like Intel NUC or HP Elite;
1a. Download, unzip and just start a HA virtual machine image:
    1aA. For Windows OS:
    https://www.home-assistant.io/installation/windows/
    1aB. For linux OS:
    https://www.home-assistant.io/installation/linux

Or a €0 way, as added by @RonnyW :

  1. When you own a NAS with Docker support, you can run HA as docker container

Next

  1. Buy a supported zwave stick, like, a €60 Aeotec Gen5+ ***
  2. Plug the zwave dongle in a USB port. If you use a virtual HA machine, make sure the ‘real’ USB port is forwarded to the VM
  3. Install the HA zwavejsui addon
    https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/zwave_js/
  4. Pair all Honeywell T6 to HA using zwavejsui

Homey

  1. Install Home Assistant Community app
  2. Add the T6 devices as Thermostat via the HA Comm. app.

***) for EU use: why no Gen 7?
Aeotec Z-Stick 7 USB stick (ZWA010): the EU version is not recommended due to RF performance issues

If you have a NAS with Docker support, you can run HomeAssistant as docker container.

This might be interesting as well. But it also might be ditched:

Hello Peter, do you think we will ever be able to add other Honeywell thermostats such as the 9500 series? Mine are currently active thru Honeywell TCC app and imported into Homey thru the Home Assistant Community app via HA Honeywell Home integration.

Thank you
Dan

No clue, Dan.
I think the best option is to request it here
