Today I tested with a IPhone 15. Invited the owner. Installed the Homey-app. Made the new account and user logged into Homey-app.
Somewhere IOS ask for permision to send notifications. Agreed with this.
Send a notification to the user by a flow. Notification received (pop-up was fast but was still available in notifications center).
Did not need to do any other actions (like in settings). It worked directly.
I agree fully with Johan’s comment that this is non-intuitive, but it worked for me also. Before doing this, my own iPhone was working (correctly identifying my Presence, and also allowing me set up Shortcuts to start Homey flows), but I couldn’t net up shortcuts on my iPad and my wife’s account on her iPhone was not in that her Presence not being detected and Homey flow names were to appearing in her Shortcut app. But the actions described above done on my iPhone, apparently fixed both my IPad and my wife’s iPhone. Weird, but wonderful !
We had issues with both Presence and Notifications on iPhone for my wife. The trick was to go into profile settings and manually press on the Homey device in the list (yes, even though it already had green checkmark on it). After this we got popup to ask permissions for notifications and then both Presence and Notifications started to work.
So when you invite someone to your Homey, make sure they go into profile and click on the Homey device to “bind” themselves to it.
