[Homeyduino] E-paper for Homey

Ah, typo, thanks

So without a touchscreen deep sleep is mandatory? Even when powered with USB? Was that also the case with verion 1.3.0?

Yup, that’s what I want  (and had)

This is not defined in the font used. I’ll try to add it.
In the list of improvements, I wanted to add another font, I’ll have to think about that.

In v1 it worked with the weather forecast which was mandatory to send. Here the weather is not mandatory. Do you just want to be able to display icons in devices?

I think i can add it.

Which version I have to buy?

Soldering female pin or Not soldering female pin?

It doesn’t matter because the pins are not to be used.

It would be nice to have to euro sign in the font.

If it is possible to use the weather icons dynamically as before it would nice.
So when the weather type is received as variable in the Icon= it will set the corresponding icon.

Is v2 working with the ESP32-S3 variant?
I’m not able to get it to work. With the flashtool I get a bootloop with “invalid header” messages in serial monitor.

With the Arduino flash method, I get an error, too

/EDIT: I tried esptool.py and I think I got the answer: “A fatal error occurred: Homey_epaper_v2.1.0.ino.bin is not an ESP32-S3 image. Use --force to flash anyway.”

Did you respect the adress?

  • 0x1000 for bootloader .bin file
  • 0x8000 for partition .bin file
  • 0x10000 for ino .bin file
Are the 3 boxes to the left of these files checked? Are the parameters respected?

And for Arduino method with AsyncElegantOTA, did you respect all parameters are describe in guide?

Yes. I followed everything exactly as it is mentioned in the guide.

Hi and thanks for this cool project!

Will it work on M5Paper ESP32 Development Kit ?

Hi,
Just installed v2.1.0 and noticed that the weather icons (only shows the Homey logo) isn’t working yet.
I tested it in the NL language setting.

For the list of translations based on the KNMI app you can look here: Nederlandse vertaling voor weericonen van Homeyduino e-paper screen

What happen?!? :jack_o_lantern:

Hi, thanks for your great work! love the V2! , question, is it possible to only update the changed values instead of a hole screen refresh?

Thanks,

Hello,
Glad you like it!
No, on v2 i chose to receive all the data before it is displayed.
This takes no more time (or even less) than comparing each value and avoids gray area caused by area cleaning.

Did anyone find the LilyGO TTGO 4.7-inch Capacitive Touchscreen Cover for the TTGO T5 V3 in stock?
AliExpress and Tiny Electronics are out of stock
