HomeyBar (macOS): looking for testers

Looking into it, and hoping to push out a 1.0.1 with a fix after Apple approves the first one!

Hey guys,

HomeBar is now available in the App Store: https://www.homebar.pro/

Cheers!

Tim

For people coming of the beta and experiencing keychain problems:

This is a known Apple bug :frowning: Open Keychain Access, find be.titansofindustry.homeystatusbar and delete all keys. Then start the downloaded app from the App Store and it should work.

Another known issue: in-app purchases might not restore on app launch. You should be able to restore them, this will be fixed in an upcoming bugfix.

Just popping in to say:

Thank you for this amazing App!

I found out about your app today through an email from Homey. I downloaded it from the App Store and bought a lifetime subscription after five minutes.

It’s just great…

I downloaded the app, and it shows in my menu bar.

For some reason, it can’t find my HomeyPro26.

It looks that it is solved.
I still had an inactive HomeyPro23 device in my account where he tried to connect with iso the active HomeyPro26 device. After deleting the HomeyPro23 device and logout/login again he found the HP26 device.

Hello, tried to install in via app store, no window opening at all, ai gave all sorts of possibles but nothing worked. conclussion was contacting you  Any ideas?

I’m investigating this issue. What mac version are you using?

Thanks! MacBook Air 13ā€ 2025 / iOS 26.3

I’m also having this issue. MacOS 26.3 also

Hi! Thanks for buiding this app! Question: When showing energy use, why do produced energy via solarpanel being added to total usage (grid+ solar) when grid already have reduced the production from the panels? this means that total energy is not correct.Se example in picture.

I’d interpret this as ā€œtotal energy your home is using: 39W from solar + 884W from netā€. But I’m no expert on this matter and just show the numbers

I was hoping it was a macOS 26.3 specific issue, but I upgraded and cannot reproduce  I’m investigating this further.

I also use MacOS 26.3 and have no issues.

Could you try the new v1.1? It could be fixed (don’t know for sure because I cannot reproduce it on 4 Macs :smiling_face_with_tear:).

Some additional questions:

  • Do you have a lot of menubar icons? Could it be hidden behind the notch?
  • Do you use software like Bartender to ā€œclean upā€ your menubar?

Thanks a lot!

I removed the app then reinstalled it through the app store, nothing different from before. No clean up, no hidden

Hey Tim,

I updated my Mac to Version 26.3.1 (25D2128) and your app to v1.1 and it is now working!

To answer your question, i don’t have a lot of Menubar icons. I had 7 and now have 8 with HomeyBar. No, i don’t use Bartender.

Unsure what the issue was, but it works great now. I appreciate the help!

And you also don’t get the first-run wizard? Just nothing happens?
