HomeyBar (macOS): looking for testers

You can star devices and they’ll show up at the top.

For now this is macOS only. But since I’ve mapped the whole Homey API to Swift, an Apple TV app might become a reality … soonish? :eyes:

As for GitHub repository, I might open it up in the future, but for now it’ll be closed-source. Let’s see how it goes.

Ah, thanks!

Wow, very cool!

My first findings, hope that helps:

Connection via cloud works fine, but I see this error message:

when I try to connect locally, same error mesage and it is not working anyhow.

I always started a reconnect.

and now a new error message:

This beta is full??? is it not possible to test anymore?

I’m waiting for Homey to raise the amount of people I can have on the app. It’s currently limited to 100.

Either that or just release it publicly, we could always give you feedback anyways.

The problem is that the OAuth key you get from Athom when you build an app that uses the Web API is limited to 100 users. I requested an increase, but still waiting on the decission.

There’s other ways (private API keys), but this “Login with Homey” flow has the least friction.

Good news! The fine folks at Homey approved the API increase.

Apple is currently reviewing the final version of the app.

A new feature request:

Integrate a button to open the homey app in a browser to edit devices or flows. A kind of shortcut thus I don’t have to go to the browser and open it manually.

If you know what i mean.

Hi, how can I test or try out this option?

Best regards,
Thomas

I just tried to log in, but unfortunately the beta is full. Too bad.

Unfortunately same here, full :grinning_face:Would love to help test.

This looks great. Are you opening any other beta tester accounts? Have not been able to access

Cheers

Dave

Yes To bad, Full ! :smiling_face_with_tear:

Just a little bit more patience

It stopped to work :frowning:

I tried to log out and log in but this doesn’t help.

EDIT:

I reinstalled an app and it started to work again
