Hi all,
I’m running Homey Self-Hosted Server (SHS) on VMware Workstation.
Homey shows that there is a new update available, but the update will not install. I have already restarted the VM several times, but the version remains unchanged.
Current situation:
- SHS running on VMware Workstation
- Update notification is visible in Homey
- Clicking update does not complete the installation
- VM reboot does not trigger the update
Is there a manual way to force the update on a VMware installation?
Do I need to update the VM image, Docker container, or run a command from the console?
Any help would be appreciated.

Even while the titles are saying installation, they also describe the update process
Also not totally sure if your environment can be found there, but perhaps it gives you an idea how to update it for your environment
Simply reboot the Virtual Machine. Every time it starts, it will check for updates and install them automatically before starting Homey Self-Hosted Server.
That doesnt work

where you able to find something in the log files or on the console ?
Is there enough space free ?

Update problem
Correct there is enough free space
In the app ( or web ) i dont see any error only that there is a update en a link to a guide ( what dont give you info about updating shs )
I am on version 13.2.0 and in de update tab i only see there is a update to 13.3.1
I did the steps ( restart the vm ) but i wont update automatic as the guide is telling us

I didnt see the error no space
I did putty cleaned tmp dir and all fixed
Strange that you did not saw any error message , but great that you solved the problem!
