I will try that tonight but my understanding is they wont work on a straight raspberry pi install
So I unplugged my Raspberry pi to move it to where I had a monitor. When I plugged it back in, it took a little while to boot and it updated to the most current version.
Running on VM on windows. The latest version on their end seems to be from December 2025 and not this most recent. Ive shut down the VM and it took several minutes to boot up, hasnt updated.
Any clue?
Could you also make sure that the changelog page for SHS is updated at a new version, @Jero?
I see v12.13.0-rc.1 is out since yesterday, but still not mentioned here…
I went through this lots and never got the update.
Chat gpt helped me in the end.
On your shs command log hit return and you should then see root@shs-homey:~#
Type exit.
Then leave it.
Apparently this is the same as shutting it down and restarting the vm but that never worked for me, this did immediately and ive just got 12.13
Doesn’t work for me unfortunately.
Unless i didnt leave it long enough? How long did it take for you before it did anything after the exit command?
I typed exit and it took literally 2 mins this morning to update.
Are you on VM workstation?
I know there was also an update of the actual VM software from the broadcom website. I also downloaded that. Not sure if thats helped with it at all
Im running it with VirtualBox, thats up-to-date.
Ill try again and leave it for like 5 to 10 minutes and see what happens.
Edit: Still nothing.
Ahh!
I dont know then sorry?
Tried restart, tried “exit” command, I am still at 12.11.0, and in the update section I see 13.0.0. Help please!
Using VirtualBox in Windows 10.
