Homey seems to be offline

So, what happens if you try to run the Homey on WiFi for a longer period? Do you see the same disconnects?

For me the ethernet dongle worked solid for a year. I switched to a PoE adapter six months ago so I don’t have any experience running the ethernet dongle with the newer firmware versions.

Probably the network controller (built into the dongle) is malfunctioning in that case. Have you already replaced the power adapter? The included adapters are known to cause strange issues.

I haven’t tried because Ethernet is supposed to be more stable… :man_shrugging:t3:

Yes, that’s the first thing I tried. I don’t think it was on the original power supply anyway, given their reputation (and yes, it also doesn’t use the supplied USB-C cable either).

I know. But it would be a way to further pin down the issue.

Well, then the only thing I can think of is that your Ethernet Adapter’s NIC may be faulty, since that’s the only thing that stays powered when you disconnect the cable on the Homey side.
If it’s still under warranty, it might be worth contacting Athom about it.

Actually, I just remembered that I have another one. Will try and see if that one works better.
