Trying to find Homey Pro specifications and data sheet - does not seem to be on Homey web site. Also need to know the maximum number of zigbee devices supported in a single mesh network - again, this is not on the website. Thx.
I guess you already found Homey Pro - the world’s most advanced smart home hub.
Yes, but there are no specificaitons and nothing telling me how many zigbee devices are supported in a single mesh network.
Emile (Athom founder) once wrote 200 max, but I should cut that in half to start with.
It would be helpful if you’d say which specifications you’re looking for.
I did in my original post !
Sure but I want to see this number in official product data sheet.
No you didn’t. You’re asking for “specifications” (which?) and “data sheet” (of what?).
There isn’t one. You can Google to find out which modules and chips are in Homey and find their respective data sheets, though.
How can any manufacturer not produce a spec sheet? That’s nuts. Sonnoff for example, categorically states that their Ultra ZigBee bridge supports 256 devices ! These days, 256 ZigBee devices is not a big number. Don’t want to get burnt again as with Philips Hue Bridge…
The ZigBee protocol supports up to 65535 devices. Can’t work out why there does not seem to be a ZigBee bridge that supports this number.
For numbers & sheets, I want you to go to Support | Homey
This is just a users forum
There’s “what’s possible in theory” and “what’s possible in the real world”.
The Sonoff bridge has the same Zigbee chip as Homey Pro. That chip has a child/neighbour table size of 32, which means that 224 nodes need to find a route through router devices, which is where this usually falls apart. Brand A doesn’t like brand B, or the router child table size is severely limited, which means that even if the bridge supports 256 devices, you might never reach that number.
Which is probably why Athom doesn’t give out a specific number of how many devices Homey will support.
