With booting every hour, Homey works currently relatively stable.
That’s not the clue, but a good work around for me
Review and replacing low battery is necessary, as the high communication of some sensors are eating especially CR123 batteries.
Need to replace some high chatty sensors batteries latest after 4 weeks
Hi
Several times in the course of a week, I have the same problem that all my z waves suddenly stop working. Too much Z-wave traffic. (TRANSMIT_COMPLETE_FAIL)
The reset function only works sometimes, other times it can take many hours before the system works.
I am very dependent on the system working as it, among other things, operates our electric access gates, our ventilation system, etc.
I know that athom is aware of the error affecting many of your users.
My wife curses the system and dreams back to the time when everything could be operated with ordinary on/off switches.
Atom please provide information on when Athom expects to solve the problem?
Thanks for the information.
I can state that I have also sent the same request to Athom.
I have contacted I have discussed the problem with Peter several times, however, without him being able to provide a workable solution.
Currently Athom have a 2-3 week response time.
Reading the issues in this topic it is hard to believe that only a small amount of users is affected.
I know that at this point I do not dare to perform the migration.
Maybe it would be good to have some kind of poll to get a better idea of the amount of HP2023 users with and without zwave issues.
Thanks for the information
I switched a few months ago from Fibaro Hc2 because the system was very unstable.
It was a lot of work to transfer devices and flows individually to Homy pro.
Sad to be left with a system where all my approx 100 fibaro units cannot be activated.😭😭
Hello
Since I didn’t have the error: “too many z wave units” yesterday, I chose to do a systematic review of the adjustments I had made since yesterday.
I remembered that in the settings for my Mitsubishi air to water heat pump I had ticked many of the boxes to transfer most of the data from the heat pump to Homey.
After deactivating all data related to the transfer of KW consumption, return, temperature, etc.
the error disappeared and the system works again.
In my case, the reason was too much data transfer between my heat pump unit and Homey.
Maybe you can use my experience.
My Homey 23 is OFF, and will remain off until they confirm they have resolved this or it goes back.
I can not take any more nagging from the wife who has lost the plot with it and home automation.
My old 2016 Homey is now running the house almost perfectly, but operating at its limit of memory and processing power… hence the reason to upgrade.
Thankfully i never changed or added any sensors to my system so could switch back and forward as required.
Homey have agreed to take my 2023 unit back, but where do i turn to now for a system.
If you are still using Homey 23 and have issues you MUST report it, (don’t rely on others) otherwise Athom will not understand the size of the problem and how it is impacting on our lives and wife’s !
They are posting on Facebook now… i feel a comment is long overdue !
Today a new set of z-wave issues. Looking at developer.athom.com z-wave section I get these error messages, referencing HomeyBridgeTimeout. I don’t even have a Homey Bridge as far as I know.
Another day, another bug report. Here is the response (edited a bit for brevity):
We are aware of some issues that Homey Pro has in specific situations with Z-wave. As we speak, we have a couple of our best engineers working on this topic full-time, together with our chip-providing partner Silabs, to help iron out all the kinks and make sure Homey Pro works properly in all Z-wave situations. This is one of our top priorities at this moment, and updates are rolled out frequently, so we do expect this to get better soon… … In case you obtain more information, for instance by testing some things in different configurations for yourself, feel free to submit them to this ticket by replying to this email. …includes Screenshots of error messages, including some information on the situation in which you encountered them - A diagnostic report ID,…The brand and type of the device(s) that cause troubles. Because the issue you are experiencing is only happening to specific users and set-ups, it is relatively hard for us to troubleshoot and solve swiftly… …If you decide that this situation becomes too uncomfortable for you and/or other household members, just know that we will solve that leniently, including options for returning your device… …I am closing this ticket for now as there’s not much I can do for you at the moment, but feel free to reopen it.
Z-Wave error notifications like TRANSMIT_COMPLETE_FAIL, TRANSMIT_COMPLETE_NO_ACK and TRANSMIT_COMPLETE_NOROUTE are explained and also some optimization steps are given.
I think this belongs here.
