Homey pro 2023 - zwave too much traffic error?

I think I am affected as well.
I have been following this discussion in silence (as I am sure many others do too).
I was first thinking it was a Fibaro problem,
and not Homey.

I have 22x Fibaro Roller Shutter 3’s,
35x Fibaro Dimmer 2’a and
11x HeatIt zwave termostates.

I don’t know what my issue is,
but around 3 weeks ago 4 Fibaro Roller Shutters stopped answering.
They just died.
It is impossible to restart them.
A week later one more died.
Same issue.
There is a blue light and that is it.

Now after these units “died” I have random problems with 4 others shutters that are not answering,
due to too much traffic.
Is this this due to the new Homey Pro?

I am thinking of sending it back and
just get a Fibaro homecenter.
I have the feeling it is hardware related,
and that means these Homey “pros” are useless and cannot be fixed.

The Fibaro Dimmer 2’s are (at the moment) not
affected and still works how they should.
The Termostates I do not use (as it is still summer),
so I don’t know if they are working as
they should or not.

Edit:
I add a link to the Fibaro discussion about this issues:

Did you migrate from earlier Homey or did you configure your Homey2023 from scratch?
I am curious if this is a migration issue only or not.
Did you report this to Athom?

I did not migrate. I was building a new house and waited for the Homey Pro.
Everything was new and configurated from scratch.
Had no problems whatsoever until more or less 3-4 weeks ago.
Maybe it was an update from Homey,
I don’t know.
I had auto-updates on,
and was busy with the moving and everything.

I was really thinking it was the Fibaros, but seem strange due to the fact they kept dying at the same time. But also, maybe they came from the same batch.

No idea, I just wish I kept an eye out for the Homey Pro updates at that time.

Edit:
I have not reported anything to Athom.
I am one of the people just reading and not participating too much in the forums.
I think it is many of us. So yes, we silent people should be more active and also report. I will send a report as soon as i get back home

I do think that’s the only thing in common for most people; it started 1-1,5 month ago.

Update 10.0.3 installed.
As I thought, this official update has no improvements over the last RC. What strikes me within the manufactures I have on Z-wave (46 Fibaro & 4 iBlinds) is that the iBlinds have a lot of traffic and many error messages in the developer tool. Fortunately, I have a timeout with some devices that switch and I no longer get crazy about my wife and children complaining that nothing really works anymore. But this reads differently for everyone.

Hi.
I see the same behavior. I have a mix of Fibaro, Heatit, Aeotec range extender, Danalock, Everspring, Nexa.
The network is very unreliable, and it very often times out / Fails due to To much traffic / high delay.
I was looking forward to migrating to the Pro 2023, but are now back to the late 2017 Homey, but still problems. I have been using to much time on this already, and are not sure what to do next.

Yeah, the only way for Athom to fix issues is if they get informed about them.
We should not expect them to know about our problems by the self.

Do you have the same problems with z-wave but on the Homey2017?
If the Homey 2023 is powered off it will not be the cause of this.

I have not seen the “Too much traffic” issue on the 2017 version, but issues related to no response, timeouts, and very high latency remains. In general a very unreliable system. I have reduced the polling cycles on most of the devices in an attempt to lower the traffic in the network. For now, I have shut down the 2023 gateway as the 2017 is slightly more stable, and I ran out of time to troubleshoot on the 2023.

It can’t be a problem of Aeotec and Fibaro.

I excluded al Aeotec devices from the system, but the z-wave problem is still there.

Homee had the same issue in 2021, and it was a software problem.
Home Assistant had this problem too in one version.

Both solved it after some days.

I more or less agree with this. It’s Homey, in combination with maybe a chip bug.

Just an update, i see improvements on my setup.
Only a few days ago (before the last of the two resent updates) nothing worked.
Today most things are back to normal, Rx values seems “normal”, although Aeotec multisensor 6 and Heatit Thermostat and relay still is substansially higher than all other devices in Rx, they still stay bellow 1000 over several hours.

Hopefully it stays stable going forward, it has taken its toll on the WAF…

I THINK its working for me ( time needs to tell )

Also is rather silent in this thread after the last update … that can be a good sign :grimacing::+1:

Also my multisensor rx is still very high ( 84607 ) since yesterdays firmware update … not sure why this is exploding ( no error messages though )

The silence is because Athom did not release any update yet :frowning:
I am still on the old 2019 pro.

10.0.3 came out yesterday right ?

Athom told me they are still working on the issue, and I dont see it mentioned in the release notes. Since I am back to work, less time to experiment now.

I was told the current update MIGHT help some users with the issue but the main issue is still being worked on.

Nothing changed with new software 10.0.0.3. Issue with too much z-wave trafic from software RC122 is still problem. Homey 2023 is Unusable !!!

Yesterday Z-Wave stopped working right after I left home for work. Wife didn’t say anything because A) Homey is working as is expected nowadays and B) she is totaly fed up with it.
