There’s some kind of problem with the networking cable to where the Homey is and I would like to move it to wifi (ideally, have it use wifi as backup). Is there any way to do this without moving it, resetting or unplugging it? It’s not reachable in the app (duh).
Did you already reboot Homey? Unplug the Ethernet cable first, otherwise Homey will give it priority.
It’s been rebooted after the ethernet went dead, and it’s unreachable on both the app and the install url.
Are you sure it’s connected to WiFi? Can you see its IP address in your router, for instance?
No, it’s not - sorry if I was unclear, but it’s been on ethernet the whole time. The ethernet is now unavailable, and I’d like to have it use wifi instead.
Is the Ethernet cable still plugged in, though? If so, you should unplug it.
Otherwise, you may have to boot your Homey into setup mode and reconfigure its WiFi: https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/7263241090716-Activate-Setup-Mode-for-Homey-Pro
Thanks! Worked like a charm
I know I’d seen this somewhere, but was unable to find it for some reason…
