Homey not working still

Some hours ago my homey stopped working.
I can get in to the app (mobile app and webapp have same problem) and see the devices in there but it seems like it gets stuck loading devices. They all have a turning loading wheel on them that never stops turning.

What I have done so far:
-Turned Homey off 2 times. Second time I left it off for longer time.
-Restarted my modem and routers.
But issue persists.

Which Homey model, Sofia?

Homey pro. The older one.

Have you checked in the Apps section to ensure the app is loading OK?
Maybe the app tried to update and failed.
Is it really all your devices that have failed over multiple apps?

Yesterday the firmware version v12.0.2 was released. So it could be that something happened during the automatic update.
Or did the HP23 become overheated?

Ah, didn’t recognized that’s about the “old” Homey, sorry!

First grab an other power unit and USB cord, from a decent brand like Apple/Samsung, no cheap ass crap.
Make sure it’s 5 VDC/ 2 Amps or up.
Because the original power unit is known for degrading in time and output voltage dropping.

I left the homey off all night and in the morning it started and the loading circles on the devices are now gone.
But nothing works. As in I can’t see any statuses, all insights are empty and when I try to control any devices the request times out.

I assume this is not a power cord issue since Homey is up and running.

And yes, all devices are acting in the same way.

No, but still it’s quite a chance on a power supply issue.
But if you don’t try, I quit trying to help out.

I agree with @Peter_Kawa, the USB power adaptor can degrade over time, which can cause the voltage to drop under load and have higher ripples on the voltage. That can cause many strange problems, even though it appears Homey is still sort of working. So it is definitely worth a try.

Will start by replacing the power cord then.

No it’s not just the cord, it’s the power unit and the cord

I will not be able to change the cord until December.
But I changed the adaptor and it didn’t fix the issue.

So the cord and the power unit has been changed.
To good brand ones.

The issue is still not solved.

All devices but the Smart Home ones are not working and they all have a loading wheel on them.

I have restarted Homey.
I have changed the USB cord.
I have changed the power unit.
I have restarted the individual apps in Homey.
I have tried to remove and readd devices but the loading issue appears when adding devices too.
So all devices in the add screen for the apps have loading circles and when I click them nothing happens.

Does someone know what can be wrong?

It’s all apps but one.

After MANY restarts the loading icon is no longer on the devices in my Homey.
I can still not use the devices and I also cannot add any devices.

I also tried to uninstall an app (Lidl app) to see if that would fix the issue.
But I still can’t add new devices so it didn’t fix anything.
When trying to add devices I now get a message that ZigBee cannot be started. Se picture.

I am considering resetting the Homey to a backup I have but am a bit afraid it will fuck up my other working Homey.
I have been using Tuya (the official app) with the same account for the two Homeys.
But every time I connect one Homey to the account the other ones disconnects.
And with the Guys app not working anymore I am afraid that the reset will logg me in on the now not working Homey and break the connection to the working Tuya.
How does the login to the different apps work when using back up? Do I have to log in to each app or will it also back up logins?

Other Homey? did you restore a backup from the Old one for a Migration? if so did you Reset the Old one after the migration?
So Both should have unique Zigbee and Z-Wave ID’s and networks!

and as I see a Zigbee Issue:
try a Full Firmware Download:
[HowTo][Pro] Restarting Homey Pro to Recovery Mode - Adv. Options From Mobile

No I didn’t migrate Homey from one to another.

I have two Homeys in different houses.
And I have been using the same Tuya account in both (not a working solution but didn’t have chance to change it before the Tuya official app rights were withdrawn by Tuya)

And I’d rather try doing back-up than resetting the whole Homey if possible.
But like I said I’m a bit afraid it will mess up Tuya on my other Homey.

This is beginning to sound like a hardware issue. I think the only thing you can still try is to do a reset (which will most likely break the official Tuya app, but that’s hanging on by a thread anyway).

Full Firmware download doesn’t reset Homey. and you keep settings without needing to restore a Backup.

I’m ok with the Tuya app not working on this Homey.
I just don’t want it to also break the link on my other Homey.

A full reset would be safe. But it would be very time consuming.
