It shouldn’t, but nobody will be able to give you a 100% guarantee.
So if I do the download I’d keep the devices and such?
And uninstalling Tuya app before reset it would probably not do anything to the login?
Even if I do back up?
As in I’d have to manually log in to Tuya after back up?
Your other Homey isn’t broken, is it? Why would you need to restore(?) a backup on that?
I don’t need to restore it or do anything on it.
The issue I am afraid of is the fact that if I(or Homey automatically ) log in to Tuya on the not working Homey after back-up I might get logged out of my Tuya account on the working one. This has happened every time so far.
It’s apparently not possible to use the same Tuya account for more Homeys.
Then assume it will happen again
Indeed that’s what I am doing.
So I am trying to find a reset method where there is no automatic Logging in to Tuya.
Do a full factory reset and build everything from the ground up
Even though Athom still thinks Homey will work fully local, it doesn’t, so there isn’t a possibility to restore a backup and then (somehow) block Homey’s internet access so it doesn’t connect to the Tuya servers so you can remove the app.
That was not possible as I learned from Athom’s Abe Haverkamp.
But, while ‘official’ Tuya has been declared as NoNo;
Consider moving to the Tuya Cloud community app. It can run on multiple Homey’s without a problem (just tested to be sure).
Indeed. Its not possible and that’s the problem
When logging in to Tuya on one Homey the other one logges out.
I have tried to solve this by reinstalling software but it didn’t work.
Today I decided to factory reset the Homey and it solved the issue.
Nice that it’s not broken. But annoying to have to set everything up again.
