Dear,
I would like to buy the bold Smart locker but they don’t offer a keypad.
How can I use homey to connect a 3rd part keyboard with bold?
Do I need the homey hub?
What keyboards are compatible?
Thanks.

If the keyboard does not talk directly with Bold, then You surely need something between - of course You can build some DIY project But i think, it may be simpler just implement some connecting logic in Homey ( hub/pro/…).
About keypads - seems, not so many of them walking on Market Street and waiting to take to home. Quick Google giving thread here and on top of search is frient’s kaypad NB! Not tested, just googled and noticed, that here is also Homey app with possibility to start flow with entered pin.
Thanks for replying.
So, I would need a homey pro + frient keyboard and with that I won’t need the bold hub?
I don’t understand why bold doesn’t have a keyboard as Nuki for example does.
This solution seems a bit overpriced.
Anyway, thank a lot for your time!
I think you should check up on the Bold lock as it is something completely different than a Nuki lock for instance.
The bold lock is not a moving deadbolt and it is also not operated through a pincode.
It will activate the lock but it is you that have to set it in motion.
So adding a keyboard is not something I see as useful.
I know the difference.
You activate the lock using a fob, the idea of the keypad is the same.
With a huge advantage of not depending on multiple fobs. You don’t have to carry anything.
Is that not an advantage?
