Hi all,
I have set up my Homey Pro and then added a Homey Bridge upstairs. I try to connect an Aqara FP300 to Zigbee upstairs. I am next to the bridge and it doesn’t work.
I go donwstairs to the Homey Pro and the FP300 connects.
When I look in the developer module I am not able to see the bridge in the Zigbee list.
Does this mean the Bridge is not working correctly?
Any ideas how I can get the FP300 to connect via Zigbee upstairs?
I have the Bridge connected to a mesh network and the Homey Pro connected via eithernet.
This screenshot is when the FP300 was connected downstairs.

How did you set up your Bridge? I think you set it up as a Homey Cloud instance. Check the mobile app More→[Homey name], there you can see the list of Homey’s. If you see a Homey Cloud there, remove the Homey Bridge from there and add it within your Homey Pro
Hi Samarth, thanks for the reply. On that page I can only see my Homey Pro (2026)
The Bridge was added as a device and the only way to see the Bridge is through - Devices and then the room I chose for it.
That’s the normal behaviour. But it should be shown in the ZigBee developer tools as well. Is the Bridge in range of the Homey Pro? It needs to be within the ZigBee range of the Homey Pro. Try moving it closer to the Homey Pro
I have tried moving it closer to the Homey Bridge downstairs. I hope that works.
I thought it got all the connections over wifi?
No, the ZigBee and Z-Wave functions are just like any regular ZigBee router (mains powered device). Only RF and IR are handled over WiFi.
Hello Everyone
I too have an issue with Homey Pro and Homey Bridge. I am new to Homey, coming over from a failed attempt with HomeSeer in transitioning over from Wink. I got Homey Bridge to function as a mesh range extender for Z-Wave and Homey Pro for my devices and flows. I have paired several switches to Homey, but all of them were unable to pair with Homey Pro but were successfully Paired with Homey Bridge. All the flows I created are residing in Homey Bridge while my Homey Pro is empty, save for the Apps that I have loaded in both Homeys. Is there a method to get the devices and flows into Homey Pro from Homey Bridge? Logically, when 2 Homey devices are on the same network, I would think that Homey Pro would be the controlling device and be able to function when the Internet is down.
Thank you.
That’s not possible, the Bridge is a “dumb” device. It sounds like you created a (completely separate) Homey Cloud account, and haven’t added the Bridge as a satellite device to your Homey Pro.
I apologize for my terms, as I mentioned, I am new to Homey. My question remains, how do I migrate the devices and flows I created to my Homey Pro?
There is no migration path from Homey Cloud to Homey Pro, you need to set up the Bridge as satellite and add the devices and flows from scratch on your Homey Pro.
I’m currently building a tool for migration between Homey’s (Cloud and Pro). However, it will take a while to build since it uses a reverse engineered Homey API (Homey doesn’t offer the scopes required for something like a migration tool in their official API)
