Google Assistant doesn't connect with Homey

The button to Sync with Google Assistent is now Gray Out.
So now it doesn’t work at all!!!
Is google blocking Homey???

Yeah as shown here 10d ago already.
And why do you point to Google?

It’s grayed out but all existing devices still work fine.
The Homey app version (I’m using v9.1.0) seems to be the problem!
@Doekse

Now, install Homey app v9.0.0 and see some magic happen…

Athom is aware of the issue and working on fixing that, no ETA though. If the downgrade of mobile app works, it’s a nice and simple workaround then. :+1:

Just a question Peter.
Can i downgrade the App without losing things??

And then a methode to install it on my Iphone 14…

Henk

FYI, yesterday I tried to sync Google and it worked for me (from Google-Home to Homey), the setting in Homey sticks however only for a moment - however I see all devices in Google and I also see the actual state.

The new 9.1.x app version solves the problem. You can now Sync again from the app.

Does it stay for you even when you return to the settings ? Because it still doesn’t work for me.

And version 9.2.x of the app (in beta) now support the ability to exclude some devices from both google home and alexa

It does not stay on the whole time. But when you turn it on, then it syncs.
Don’t know if it has to be the whole time on. After you changed something, turning it on then it works.

I still have this problem. After the update nothimg is change.

It was updated yesterday, can you check again ?

Hi Henk,

This has been the case since I own a Homey (4.5y), I even reported to Support but I got a vague story about security risks.
The reason it auto disables, is, when you remove Homey from “works with google”, you might forgot to disable the google toggle @ Homey.
They couldn’t really explain why it disables itself every x days, when Homey is added to “works with google” permanently.

@Sharkys @Jvp It works fine on my Pro 2019 with v9.2.0.1698
Besides the auto-disabling bug, but that’s going on for years.

Even that was fixed for me

It is the same. Mayby is it a securety reson, but Akexa is working fine. If i now put a new switsch, i first need to eneble google for update the switsch to google home. Alexa is updating the switsch without doing somthing. it’s annoying

Since the latest update of the Homey App, it stays on all the time. No more errors.

OK, I’ll keep an eye on it.

My Google Assistant has stopped working. I am able to control the devices directly in Google Home app but when I tell Google Assistant to, for example, turn on a Zigbee device linked via Homey, I get the reply “A problem has been detected, try again later”.
This goes for both the standalone Google Assistant devices as well as when I try Google Assistant on my phone. I have unlinked the Homey from Google Home and relinked it, I have deleted my existing home in Google Home app but still it’s not working.
Any ideas for a way forward?

Try to re-enable it, wait for error, create system diag and contact Athom support - hope for some answer.
I recently realized it was turned off, I had to re-enable it twice just via menu and it’s back on.
Hasn’t the problem started after you have added some specific device ? If so, try to remove it by excluding it in the settings (only in the mobile app)

Thanks, I actually read on the Swedish Homey group on Facebook that the problem is on Googles side and that it is related to a new update where the assistant has magically forgotten how the swedish language works. As in other languages, swedes don’t say “turn on” when they are referring to a light source, we say “light up”, (tänd). So the workaround for the moment is to use English or non standard Swedish

Hello, I’m following this discussion because more or less I have had all the problems you have listed, but everything was working fine until yesterday.
Following a series of “There has been a problem…” On Google Home side, I have tried to delete Homey from the list of apps working in Google Home, but to my surprise, it’s not there anymore! I mean, Honey was not in the list!

I have then tried to add it back, but homey is not in the list of the “Works with Google” apps (picture attached)..

Someone else with some ideas or in my situation?
