Get a notification when the washingmachine is ready

Am confused. In the opening post i explained how to make the variables. The WasmachineStart is just a number variable and in the opening post is explained how to make them. So when u get to choose a value for the variable, pick “number”. Not sure what u wanna know.
In the 4th and 5th post there is the math for the price of a cycle.

In the mean time I got my notification up and running, with almost no false positives (depending on program). I also started to notify on KwH cost per session. My question, rather an opinion I want to know is:

  • are you logging the cost and kwh somewhere ? Automatically in xls or database. Are you using it in a tile and how ? Do you count per month the amount of started sessions and the total cost of it ?

Kr,

Bart

A little question, the used power switch or wall socket is this one: https://www.megekko.nl/product/0/799060/Fibaro-FGWP-102-Smartplug?r=googleshopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsduS1JWv4gIVBeN3Ch2TTwGwEAQYBCABEgLQ0PD_BwE cause I’m using this one https://www.123led.nl/Innr-Smart-Plug-SP120-i3328-t2950.html but I think it can’t handle my washmachine, when he starts to cycle the switch is switch off without reason :-S

Someone else usses the sp120 in combination with a washmachine?

Roy, the plug can handle 10 Amp, so thats 2400 watts, that isn’t used by the machine.

If we take 220V with 10A then it’s 2200W aye?
And maybe there is a setting for the plug in advanced settings to set the max?
I don’t have the plug meself but know other plugs have a setting like that.

In the app there is no such setting

Thank the peak current is killing, order a fibaro Lets see how that works

For this same reason (SP120 turning off @ peaks), I switched to the Fibaro 2500. Works perfect!
Washing machine is a Samsung Ecobubble, approx. 4 months old.

Okay got the switch guess what… can’t handle the peak

Hi,

I’m just got a Homey and I’m playing around with it a little, and wanted to add this washingmachine project.

I’m wondering why is there a ‘timer’ added???

Thanks,
Erik

Years i didnt understand the use of logic variables in flows, but Now i think i got it, it makes conditions global so u can make flows work together, thank you @Rocodamelshekima

Hello

I also add this flows in homey for my wasmachine but I get an message the wasmachine is ready, bit that’s not true.
The wasmachine is then still turning. what am I doing wrong? he therefore has a false report

Then try to adjust the timer a bit. In this example the timer is running for 120 seconds and maybe ur machine needs a bit more time. Try the timer for like 180 seconds or maybe even 240 seconds to see if the false positives are gone.

@Rocodamelshekima bedankt. Het werkt nu. Levert dit geen brandgevaar op?
Gebruik een Xiaomi smart socket (Zigbee) en deze flows, zouden die ook werken voor een droger ?

It should, it’s measuring the energie consumption.

Let’s please keep the conversation in English here.
This flows will work just the same for the dryer ofcourse. Make sure the plugs CAN handle the load!

I just ordered the Innr SP120, because it was mentioned on the Homey website, but now I read that there are issues with it…?

I have no issues with the innr SP 120 plug, it works great.
But keep in mind that it’s 10A 2300 watt max.
So check what your washer/ dryer uses at max load!
There are also plugs out there that are 16A 3600 watt, like the TP link HS110.

Great flow, thanks for sharing it! Works just as I wanted.

Hi.
I have used ways described in this thread, and it works fine with my wash/dryer/dish -mashines. Thanks Rocodamelshe!
Now using Telldus Plug-in Switch Mini https://telldus.com/se/produkt/plugin-mottagare-mini-z-wave/, and it works mostly, but all of them have several times stopped meassure. Talked to their support, and they think that it is due to high effect. Depending on what site you look, it says 1800 W or 2300 W.
Wash peaks at 2200 W, Dish 1800 W, and dryer 900 W.
I am now looking for other plugs that works better. When looking, most of the plugs specifies max load as resistive load. And I dont think the machines is classed as resistive load, so probably you have to count down the numbers they say.

I have read throu this thread and see that some of you also have problems. The Innr SP120 looks just like the Telldus on the pictures, maybe same with different names. Proove also has one that looks exactly the same.
Fibaro is classed 2500 W resitive. Some of you guys have this working fine, but some up in the thread had problem with it.
Martin refeers to a HS110 just above here, but that is WiFi, and dont work for me where I have my washmachine.
I found these that stands higher effect:
QUBINO Smart Plug 16A, 3680 W. https://www.m.nu/brytare/smart-plug-16a (not supported in app yet, but looks like it is supported in their beta-app)
PHILIO TECH PAN16-1, 3000 W, https://www.m.nu/brytare/on-off-socket-with-power-metering-1
TKB TZ68G, 3500 W, https://www.clasohlson.com/se/Fjärrströmbrytare-på-av-Z-wave-TKB-TZ68G/Pr365741000

Just wanted to see if some of you have experienses of these plugs? The TKB does not cost so much, and is supported via their app, but in the swedish part of this forums someone had some probs with them.

Hi all,

I could really use some help with this. I implemented Rocodamelsheki’s solution for my washing machine and it works perfectly. Then I made the same thing for my dryer but for some reason the calculations don’t work. I do get a notification when the dryer is ready, but I get a strange NaN message for the totals (see screenshot). I already checked for typo’s and spaces but it seems I am overlooking something here. For reference purposes, I also include a screendump of the relevant flow. Could someone please help me with this? Thanks a lot!
