Super simple user here. Has anyone else been experiencing recent issues with standard Date & Time flows to their Z-Wave devices?
Beginning around late July 2026, my automation flows for my Z-Wave devices (Jasco Smart Switch and GE Enbrighten Switch) stopped working all together. I’ve restarted Homey cloud via the Developer Tools, as well as manually power-cycled both my Homey Pro Mini and Homey Bridge for about 10 mins each. I’ve also performed multiple reboots and power cycles of my ISP router. I’ve even restarted my Z-Wave network to clear all nodes, re-paired my devices, and re-created my automation flows.
Simply put, my Z-Wave devices seem to be working properly (nodes, routes, and basic on/off cmds test fine in Developer Tools with no Tx errors). Even better, the devices are recognized and can be controlled (turned off/on) in the Homey Web and Mobile apps. Communication does not seem to be the issue here.
Strangely, testing the flows in the Web/Mobile apps also works perfectly, and flow automation is successfully recorded in the history/timeline of the devices. It appears to just be an issue with the actual transmission of automation/flow triggers (Date & Time) being sent to Z-Wave devices via the Homey Bridge. Date and time appear to be registering accurately to my region/time zone in the Developer Tools.
Just to reiterate, I am able to successfully communicate with the device. I turned the device on/off via Developer Tools to ensure Z-Wave nodes were routed successfully. Additionally, I turned the light on/off via the Test function of the flow(s) in the Homey web app. This is reflected in the history/timeline of the device:
So communication to the device is working properly. However, the saved flow isn’t automating/triggering/outputting to the device. These simple standard Date/Time flows to this device were working until just recently (late July 2026). Also worth noting, this is only happening with flows/devices associated with my Homey Bridge. Other Date & Time flows are executing properly with my Homey Pro Mini and WiFi devices. I’m also currently running Homey version 13.4.0.
Being new to the community, I wasn’t sure if this topic needed to be in another group. My Homey Bridge is communicating with my Z-Wave devices. Homey is just not executing/transmitting the flow commands to these devices as they should be.
Sorry, I don’t understand.
is the Homey Bridge used with Homey Cloud, or a Satellite of the Homey Pro Mini?
And what is the relation between the two Homey’s?
When I purchased the Homey Pro Mini it was my understanding I needed a Homey Bridge to be able to control my Z-Wave devices. However, the Bridge is being used with Homey Cloud, and I do not have a subscription plan (as I only have 2-3 devices I’m controlling with the Bridge). I access the Homey Pro Mini and the Homey Bridge separately in the web app, as demonstrated below:
Maybe I setup the Bridge incorrectly…? Regardless, it’s still unclear to me why the Date & Time flows work when I test them in the web app, but not independently.
̶W̶r̶o̶n̶g̶,̶ ̶, Ok, the documentation probably wasn’t clear…
Remove the Bridge from the Homey Cloud…
The Bridge will reset and you don’t need the Homey Cloud (You can remove it, or keep it for playing outside your Homey Pro (mini).)
After your suggestion of disassociating my Bridge with the Homey Cloud and pairing it with my Homey Pro Mini, the functionality of automated flows to my Z-Wave devices has returned. All is behaving as expected
