No matter what I do I cannot get the bridge to connect to my system. The system goes through the onboarding process and it can find the bridge however after entering the WiFi credentials the bridge led light goes from green to pulsing blue again.
I have confirmed that the bridge is indeed connecting to my WiFi network and is connected using 2.4Ghz only. Worth mentioning the bridge and my self hosted instance of Homey are on separate VLANs but have full routing between them including MDNS.
Any help or suggestions on where to begin troubleshooting this issue would be much appreciated.
Yes according to the WiFi controller it continues to stay online even though the device appears to go back into setup mode (pulsing blue ring). Worth noting is that the bridge does show up in the device list but it shows as “Device Unavailable Homey Bridge Not Connected” and no matter what that’s as far as I can get.
So you are introducing extra parameters into the onboarding process by putting the devices on different VLANs. Why not try to configure the Bridge on the same VLAN first. If that works there still might be an issue with your VLAN separation.
Understood that I am introducing extra items into the onboarding process but unfortunately currently the network is laid out in this manner and I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the connection methodology that is used so I can troubleshoot more.
