Cable only or Cable+WIFI?

Do you recommend internet connection to Homey Pro 2023 using cable only or cable + WIFI?

I did a Homey fabric reset last night and removed the WIFI connection from Homey this morning using setup mode. My internet is 1000/1000mb fiber connection connected to Google Wifi Pro (3-pack).

Anyone know what the official recommendation is?
What would you recommend?

I use both Wi-Fi and wired connection for my Homey Pro 2023.

The wired connection is used for integrations since it’s more stable and reliable, but having Wi-Fi as a backup is nice to ensure I can always reach Homey. Keep in mind that Homey will get one IP address per connection.

Cable + WiFi, but only if both are using the same network segment. Otherwise Homey won’t be able to deal with it properly and you can run into issues.

Maybe a stupid question, but it has been long time since I installed Homey Pro (2023) and although they worked before, I can now no longer connect my Homewizard P1 and Energy Socket (Er zijn geen nieuwe apparaten gevonden) whatever I try. I’m sure my Homey is connected via Ethernet but how can I check if it is also connected to WiFi (and if not: how do I get it connected without total reset)? Is this needed for Homewizard to work (Local API is ON). Thanks and regards,
Rob

It does not matter how devices are connected to your network (wifi or ethernet) as long as both use the same subnet (like this: 192.168.2.x or like this: 10.0.1.x )

When Homey can’t find HW devices, first restart your router, and then your Access points.
As explained in the HW app topic:

Hi Peter,
Thanks a lot. They were all on the same network, same IP range, but the Homey was wired to the router and the Homewizards to the mesh access points. I have now changed the Homey to be wired to one of the access points as well and now it worked (turns out my P1 is the “old type” though :-)).
Thanks!
