[APP] Slide - Automate your curtains

@Jan_Van_Oort,

Are you sure Homey and the Slide are connected to the same WIFI network?

My network consists of two Deco’s that run on 2.4 and 5 Ghz. I have disabled the 5 Ghz network so that both the iPad and the Slide are on the same network. I have also disabled a Deco so that everything is on the same Deco. But all without result.

I not so much the iPad and the Slide should be on the same network, but Homey and Slide should be in the same network.

What you could try is double check if there are no updates for the Slide app in Homey. And if not, maybe you could try to figure out what the IP address of the Slide is, so you can send direct commands to the Slide to see if you can reach it that way.

Having the same problems here since a few days.

Slide is unavailable in Homey, but works in the Slide (Android) app. Slide is in local mode (checked once again), on the latest firmware and the Homey app is too.

After I deleted the device from Homey and trying to add it again, it doesn"t find it.
Homey and Slide are in the same network/vlan.

Anyone an idea what to do?

Both the Homey and the Slide have the latest update. Homey is connected to the network with the Ethernet adapter and the Slide via WiFi. is this the problem? Slide’s IP address is known. But there is no connection there either.

My problem (see above) has been solved by putting it in Cloud API for a day and back in Local API.
Then my Slide was found again by the Homey app…

Maybe you can try to see if your Slide responds to the following command (just copy the text and past in the url bar of your browser): http://{SlideIPAddress}/rpc/Slide.GetInfo

Replace the {SlideIPAddress} part with the ip-address of your Slide. I would suggest you use a device wich is connected to your wired network instead of a wifi connected device, mainly because Homey is also connected to your wired network as you indicated.

Hi Henk, that was the solution to the problem! The Slide is now visible in Homey. Thank you everyone for your thoughts!

Hi, does anyone have a slide for sale?

Exciting news! Dutch retailer ROBBshop is working to revive Slide, now at an attractive new price of €149. If they reach 350 pre-orders, production can resume! :raised_hands:

Check it out and support the initiative here

That is great news @Doekse! Thanks for pointing it out.
Even better that it is revived by a company that likes Homey too!

My Slide lost link to the Homey app multiple times by now.
Can this be an app-related thing?

The Slide keeps working in the Android Slide app and still responds to http://{SlideIPAddress}/rpc/Slide.GetInfo.

Re-adding the Slide in Homey doesn’t work. It doesn’t find a new Slide, not even after deleting the Slide.

Only solution seems to be to put the app in cloud mode for a day or so and then switch back to local mode. Then it can be re-added.

I also see in the first post that there are several updates and one yet to be released, @Jorden?
And @Doekse marked this topic as ā€œsolvedā€, but this is an App topic, should that be ā€œsolvedā€ at all?

No I did as I think after the closing curtains from Kaj there is a restart from ROBBShop, that should be clearly visible for everyone interested. Therefore I marked it.

Ah, ok. But there is no restart from Robb yet. Untill there is a new app the app stays the same and is this the right place for support (from other Homey users).

When there is a new app (if any), then closing this topic and starting a new one would be more logical imho…

Still having troubles with this.
Created a Github issue and diagnostic report with number: c7aa18b1-f210-442b-8e1f-e07fe9ef17a0

Is this something you would be able to solve or give advice @Jorden (or anyone else of course…)?

Sadly the app in the Homey app store is still linked to an email address of Innovation in Motion, that used to forward to me but since they stopped, the forwarding doesn’t work anymore. So I didn’t receive the diagnostic report.
Will need to talk to Athom to get the app on my account again but I’m terribly busy.

I myself have 0 problems with my Slide in local mode, but I also don’t have a clue as to what could be the problem.

Hi @Jorden,
Thanks for the quick reply! I understand you only have limited time, so even more thanks for replying.

Could this be a mdns problem? I see @Dijker worked on that. Do you have any idea perhaps?

@Doekse: could you help Jorden out perhaps?

In addition to my problem described above:
Today my Homey was unplugged (from power) for a few hours. The Slide was not.

After Homey was plugged in again, the connection between Homey and the Slide was restored as well.

My reasoning would be that the problem must in the Homey connection / Slide app and not in the Slide itself? Would that be a logical conclusion?

@Jorden please send an email to partners@athom.com and I’ll help sort it out!

@Jorden: besides the still present problem of Slide loosing connection to Homey every now and then, I come across something else:

I cannot use all cards with a zone in it. So:
Open all curtains in -zone-
Close all curtains in -zone-
Put all positions of all curtains in -zone- to -percentage-
Start re-calibration of all curtains in -zone-
(hope I am using the right translations, since mine are in Dutch)

When I try to add them, they don’t find any zones, so I am not able so select a zone.
