Damn, I just ordered another one
Let’s hope the Aliexpress seller is selling old stock ![]()
Yeah, it was my story too and I’m too lazy to flash it using this method - Xiaomi has released new 2.1.1 firmware · Issue #298 · atc1441/ATC_MiThermometer · GitHub … at least for now, will keep this one till Athom will fix Bluetooth on (some) HP23
… those sensors are now crazy cheap.
Oh that’s one I’m fine with if necessary, I really prefer to run these with the Zigbee firmware.
It’s still an old one ![]()

And it’s already running the Zigbee firmware ![]()
Can you please outline the process to pair the LYWSD02MMC? I have placed it beside the HP23 and tried adding a device using this app, but it is not finding any devices. The clock is still using the standard firmware and is still working from the Xiaomi app. Is there something I need to do to put it in pairing mode, or should it just work? Hardware Version F3_A1, FW 2.0.1_0060
Pls. submit log while attempting pairing.

Replied to you, let me know.
Hey, I can’t pair LYWSD03MMC BLE not ATC, the device itself has firmware 2.1.1_0159. The app on Homey isv1.2.23 (on the 2019).

I paired the device to the Xiaomi Home app.
Anything I can try at this point?
Please send me debug log from the app

Please share your experience with Xiaomi Miija App for Homey | Homey - 1.2.24
worked like a charm once I was close to Homey with the thermometer and my phone – thanks for the very swift reaction ![]()
I bought quite a bunch of zigbee (only) version off the LYWSD03MMC. Didn’t see you need a custom firmware before. Fine. But if I get this correctly only a BT Version can be flashed? Besides that trying to short my devices seems to do nothing.
The LYWSD03MMC is a BLE device, AFAIK there is no off-the-shelf Zigbee version. It only becomes a Zigbee device if you flash it with the custom firmware.
Looks like there’s now an OTA exploit for newer firmware versions: Fighting To Keep Bluetooth Thermometers Hackable | Hackaday
Oh Lord… yes… I see. Beside all the Chinese text it says BLE. So the app also mentions BLE Version but I can’t add it as BLE device. However, Zigbee should be better anyway (making use of the zigbee area) , right? So I ll try the flashing process. Thank you so much
