[APP][Pro] Ubiquiti UniFi Protect

@Eddy_Krikke I am using 6.0.47 and the doorbell flow is still working.

Hallo,

Foutje van mijn kant de bel werkt wel met een flow.

Maar mijn flow met de vinger print werkt niet meer dus als een geregistreerde gebruiker zijn vinger print gebruikt wordt mijn flow niet gestart.

Groeten Eddy Krikke

Still working today, I am using fingerprint and nfc card reader on my iphone

I also am having issues with the doorbell flow. Used to work flawlessly, and this morning I almost missed a delivery because the flow was not working… I can’t seem to get my head around what’s wrong though…

Protect app is 6.0.47
Homey Pro (Early 2019)
Homey app is 9.4.0
Unifi Protect app on Homey is 1.7.6

Local access users last login was July 3rd at 1:02 AM, so it stopped working recently.

I re-installed the UniFi Protect app on Homey and am now getting “invalid creditals” in the app settings. Nothing changed there though… Naturally, the app doesn’t have devices anymore, which is great :')

What am I overlooking? What could be wrong in my credentials? Thank you!

I was impatient, so I rebooted everything and did a clean install of the Unifi Protect app on Homey. Everything is working again  Strange though… But I’m not complaining!

I have rebooted the homey and reinstall the Unifi protect app on my homey.
But the doorbell flow is working but the vingerprint flow is not working.

Best all,

i dont get any snapshots, what am i doing wrong? connection is alive andtriggers working but i get the message coul not fetch snpshot image.

i uncheked the box in the settings (gebruik camera afbeelding) and i think its working now, is that the right way to do ?

gr Rini

Was getting 401 errors until I restarted the App after the Protect 6.0 update. Things are working again. So just wanted to confirm with others it might be best to reinstall the Unifi Protect app on the Homey if they are having issues. a bit of a pain to redo some stuff but it worked.

Hi Community,

Sorry couldn’t find a match on this issue.

I have 2 Homey Dashboards running on Android Tablets throughout the house that display a Unifi Protect images amongst other things. Generally these have been great, but to perfect the Dashboard resilience I need to solve 2 problems surrounding Unifi Protect integration.

  1. Refreshing the Unifi Protect Image Thumbnail (Periodically or during Event. e.g Smart Event). I can click on the panel refresh icon, but would like this to be automated somehow. Most of these images are a few days old and not relevant. I have tried Fully Kiosk calls to refresh / reload, but haven’t found away as of yet. Hoping one day live camera feeds will be possible, but more than happy with event-based snapshot updates.
  2. Broken Unifi Protect Dashboard Image after Homey Restart - Homey updates periodically and each time this occurs, each video Unifi thumbnail displays a black image which doesn’t recover. To resolve I need to restart the Homey client app.

Note : I haven’t enabled Anonymous Snapshot. Wasn’t sure if this is required.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Thanks

I am using the UDM pro se. Official os same as protect. Mixed if g3 instant and g4.

I am not able to view the snapshot in honey pro 2023. It shows a black screen. Any idea what can be the case?

Tested all the connection and restarted the app. Read local only user used as well. Able to see all the stats just not the view.

Since my last two updates to Unifi Protect, my Flow for the doorbell no longer works.
When the button is pressed, music should play on the Sonos. When I test the Flow, it works, but when I press the button, it doesn’t.
I’ve restarted everything, from Homey Pro to Unifi, but to no avail. In Homey, it indicates it’s connected. The app also displays the images normally, but the button press doesn’t go through, although I do use the Unifi app. Strange.

Is there a way to trigger sounds on the chime? would like to set the chimes up throughout the house as an alarm when a door/window sensor is triggered

Might it be possible to get a (short) video from a camera to send with Telegram for example?

It’s nice to have a snapshot, but at night it’s sometimes hard to find where something happened in the view. Most times it’s a cat moving by, but in a short video of a couple of seconds the movement could be found better. Or last time it was the Kid of a neighbour, on the snapshot exactly behind to swimming pool…with a video I should have seen him move there.

So video would be a great addition in my opinion

I have this problem

I am using UniFi® Dream Machine Pro and can’t connect.

I add DMP local ip (is in a dedicated VLAN) and port 443

if I try to test connection form pc browser I recive

I create a local user

I’m using the app to set the recording mode more year now. It was working fine till yesterday:

Error setting recording mode: Error: Failed to PATCH url: /proxy/protect/api/cameras/63a75d550xxxxxxxx (status code: 400, response: {“error”:“The smart detection feature is not enabled for: smoke_cmonx”,“name”:“BAD_REQUEST”})

I think because of the unifiprotect app on my console (UDM SE). It has been updated to version 6.1.65. Camera’s are on version 5.1.57.

Is there anything I have to reconfigure?

After playing with the settings, I noticed that disabling the “Audio Detections”, remove all selections in “Edit Audio Detection Types”, the flows are working again. For now that’s fine for me.

Hi everyone,

Since the update to Unifi Protect 6.1, the “Set Recording” function no longer works. Because of this, my flows like “When I arrive home → Stop recording” and “When I leave home → Start recording events” don’t work anymore.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Or is there a workaround/fix planned?

Thanks in advance!

Can you try the test version? Is the bug still there?

Read the post above yours, this may help you too?

I can confirm @Hullie’s solution works!

Quick fix for “Set Recording” not working after UniFi Protect 6.1:

  • Disable “Audio Detections” in your camera settings
  • Remove all selections in “Edit Audio Detection Types”

The flows work again immediately. However, this means losing audio detection which is not ideal.

@developer: Could you please update the Homey app to be compatible with UniFi Protect 6.1’s new smart detection features? It would be great to keep audio detection while having working recording controls.

Thanks @Hullie for the workaround!
