I’ve since discovered that the version of the Unifi software that I use requires either MFA or 2FA. There are three types, but, at least one must be active. This app seems to require 2FA to be turned off. I’d love to be wrong, but unless there is an alternate method of authenticating via this app to Unifi, I think I’m out of luck.
Could you first log in to your controller locally via
https://192.xxx.xxx.xxx
After logging in, please create an Admin user with Local Access Only.
Did you give the role Admin rights?
Can you send me a screenshot from the validate credentials?
Site = default
Server = your local IP for the controler not unifi.ui.com
I want to do some more with specific Access Points, so I finally linked my first devices. Shame on me that it took me a year after installation of the app…
I’m using a UDR, with WiFi onboard. But the UDR doesn’t show up as an Access Point within the devices, it shows a dash (-). When I go upstairs or to the garden then the dash changes to the top floor AP or garden AP.
Is there a reason the UDR doesn’t show up as an AP in the devices? That should mean that I can’t act on the most used AP in our house…
Or is it possible for you @ObelixNL to add it?
tIA!
when I grab the URL from my browser, it looks like this:
That should open my console for anyone most likely, so I changed a couple of the numbers in that long hex code. Is this what you mean. I’m not a network engineer, and completely new to Unifi, so, I’m not catching on very quickly.
You must use your local IP address like 192.168.1.1, do a ipconfig on your CMD (Windows) and get your gateway IP address.
IP address 192.168.1.1
