thanks, but the script does not add the AND and THEN cards, right. How to make them appear?
I just wanted to provide a tip to those that are battling the 401 status code when trying to get the the UniFi Network app to connect to the controller.
I donât know if this is relevant for everybody, but i was struggling for a long time to get a UniFi Express 7 (UX7) to connect. I had done what i was supposed to, made a local user and set up everything according to instructions, Got both green statuses, but still the 401 when i tried to add clients.
The trick that finally solved it for me was to enable this box in the Control Plane.
After that i was able to add clients without issue ![]()
Direct Connection is only needed when you entered your public IP address.
I just got a Cloud Gateway Fiber a couple of days ago, which I hope I can add to Homey.
The Ubiquiti Network app shows its connected, however when I try to add a device it says âno new devices have been foundâ.
Any ideas on how to get my Cloud Gateway to show up, or is that device not (yet) supported?
Hi I was able to connect with out a problem to my Unifi System but I am missing Alot of Cards any idea dont know if have someting to do with witch model of Unifi Gateway I have I have the Cloud Gateway Max
I will add a screen shot of the when cards I have
Thanks in Advance
You can add wifi and cable devices to get more flow cards. What do you want to do?
Please make an local user with admin rights, I think you give the user limited rights.
I already made a local user, with admin rights, and as mentioned it can successfully connect using that account, but when I then try to ad a network switch it doesnât find any new devices.
I want to make a flow depending if my phone is connected to the network or not I donât have a card for x device is not on the network just when device just connected
And on the page of the App I see way more cards than the once I have for many other thinks
I have no idea if is because my Cloud Gateway model or someting or maybe my unifi os ver
I did this with a flow making if my phone is connected put my status on home and when it disconnect on away, you can also do this with making a virtual switch switching state when connected and use the state of that switch as condition
I periodically (every few days) find that the UniFi Network app has stopped updating the status of its Homey devices. When this happens I go into the UniFi Network Homey app settings and on the Settings tab within there it shows: Status: Disconnected, Realtime updates Status: Connected.
Test credentials, all fine. Restart the UniFi Network Homey app and everythingâs connected again (now Status is also Connected in settings) and the devices are updated. Then after a day or a few, same again.
Is there something Iâm missing? My solution for the moment is to restart the app every night but there has to be a better way! Thanks
You can also achieve the same with the ânetscanâ app and adding your phone(âs IP adress) as a device.

Same problem. Did you find a solution?
Thanks for the tip. I added a users with admin right in unify OS, app is connected to unifi, allowed ââDirect Remote Connectionââ yet still, when I try to add a client, homey canât find any.
Any advice on how to proceed?
I will see if I try that app thanks
I do have an issue with the WLAN client connection status of our iPhones, I hope someone has a solution. We are always setting our iPhones to Flight Mode during the night. The problem is, when we go into the flight mode, the WLAN gets disconnect and the Unifi Network controller removes the client. So far so good. However, after <1min the client appears again with âChannel 0â in the GUI as client, so homey thinks that the device is connected again (which isnât true, however itâs not a fault of the homey app!). So the gateway behaves strange here? Am I alone with the issue? Any tipps to solve the false reconnect?
I do have the same issue.
When my iPhone disconnects from network, either manually or flight mode or when I leave the house, then the flow âis connected to AP âŠ.â keeps hitting the IS CONNECTED dot, while it is not connected. Also then the client shows channel 0 or no channel btw, but the flow says it is connected.
Weird and I did not have this behavior before.
Unifi UDM-Pro with Unifi OS 5.0.5 and network application 10.0.162
edit: even stranger is that only one AP tells it is connected, while it is really not .. hmmmmm
How do you see which the AP which tells that the Smartphone is connected?
