Apologies, I have misinformed you. It is indeed a 2-step procedure as you described. Just set it up and test the flow. You might want to use your webbrowser for that: my.homey.app.
Good luck and let me know the outcome!
It would be awesome to have when events like secondary internet fail over happens.
any thoughts on extending this beyond just connection? Example: the new power manager they have.
no worries. The intent of the flow: trigger when connected to a specific AP.
What I have now:
When: Roams to AP â then 'Connected with AP XX"
Result: flow gets triggered when the device is connected to AP XX and then roams to another.
Not what I need - but based on the triggers available I donât know how to resolve this.
@ObelixNL any thoughts / are they are another âWhenâ triggers available for usage?
@ObelixNL the App keeps on crashing. Any thoughts on why this is happening? Do you need a diagnostic report?
When looking at the App status, I notice that it restarts by itself but it also crashes again. All my flows depending on the way clients move around the house just donât work as expected which is very annoying. Again, this all started to happen after an update of Homey Pro was released.
Please disable âenable application flowsâ and use only device flows. This will help the memory usage.
Can you explain what you want to do? You must use two when flows. One device connected and other one roaming to ap.
So, I disabled âenable application flowsâ and I even restarted the Homey after to have a clean start. Unfortunately no improvement, the App keeps on crashing. Is there any other way we can get contact and maybe remotely have some intervention? I am located in NL. Thanks!
I want to start a flow when a specific device connects to a specific AP.
I tried âConnectedâ and âRoams to APâ as when triggers - 'Connected to AP XXXX" as 2nd trigger.
Which results in the flow starts when the device is connected to AP XXXX and then roams away from it. Quite the opposite of what I want to achieve.
Hello, I am trying to use unify antenna to determin home / away. But i get an error 401 when i try to add a client. (Wifi or wired)
So, I was curious how this should work @mt1988 and created a flow for two APâs:
WHEN âRoams to APâ
AND âConnected to new AP-Nameâ
THEN Pushnotification âConnected to new AP-Nameâ
As soon as my device roams to the other AP, I find the same behavior as you have described. So what it basically does, the AND test is about the AP that the device was connected to before it roamed to the other AP.
Any thoughts about this behavior @ObelixNL?
@ObelixNL I might have found the solution. The interval was set to 1, I changed it to 5. The App seems more stable now.
Can you explain what this interval is related to and what âenable application flowsâ is used for? I also would like to have some logging to see how and when the flows are used. I enabled âEvent log enabledâ for that purpose, but no information is shown in that screen?
Great tip, thanks! I set it to 0 and it brought the whole homey down lmao, works much more stable on 5 now ![]()
Glad to hear it is more stable now! No crashes here since I adjusted this param ![]()
Is there anybody that can help with this? settings seems ok, i am connected to the server, I can see the correct Site ID. But as soon as i want to add a device i get ârequest failed with status code 401â
I had the same problem. Removed the regular app and installed the test version which fixed that issue for me.
I already havethe experimental V2.4.0 app. But i wil remove it anyway and try again.
Nope same problem, + now it gives me an extra error that my creditentials are not correct (but it connects to the server)
You give the local user not enough permissionâs and please give the user an strong long list password from minimal 16 chars
Hi there. First post here. Iâve just installed the test version (2.4) of the app on my new Homey Early 2023 edition. Connection works, but it looks like Iâm missing something:
I was hoping to see the âRoams to APâ available as a when card. Do I miss something?
Hi all,
Iâve asked this question in general homey, and got refered to Unifi.
I donât have Unifi but im considering changing my Google wifi for Unifi.
I would like to seperate guests from the main network.
But; I would like to trigger flows based on guests.
Basically;
IF any device is connected to guest network
THAN set guest as home.
IF no devices connected to guest network
THAN set guest as away.
