Yes, it will
As long as you don’t uninstall the live app prior to installing the test version.
Same way the other way round ![]()
The Home Assistant ingegrations still works without any changes. Does Tado target Homey specifically?
Home Assistent same thing, Tado want’s to get rid off the password/user auth method, actually with good reason.
Version 6.0.0 will be in test soon. It will change the authorisation flow to stay compatible with latest Tado api developements. Due to the limited time it is not tested long (1 day).
The authorisation will be done at the tado home device.
**IF YOU HAVE ONE ALREADY, DELETE IT AND RESTART THE APP IF YOU ARE RUNNING 6.0 !!!
Now add a new Tado Home device. This will start the authorisation flow.
It will open a browser session, where a code is shown:
Hit the blue button and login (if needed)
it then will show (if all good)
Close this window and check your pair session, it will circle until the app received notification that the device is connected. Then the tado Home device is visible, continue to add it.
After that all should be the same. If anything unclear please ask now
6.0.5 in test now… READ THE POST ABOVE!!!
Thanks for the fast update and hard work! App is working fine again.
PS. The pairing session waits 100s for you to give the authorization it then times out. And you have to retry.
Had some problems at first but it works now, thanks for the quick fix!!!
For future reference, what I did (I was already on the test version for some reason):
- Downgraded back to the non test version (5.something).
- Removed only the “Home” device.
- Upgraded back to the test version (6.something)
- Added the “Home” device trough the web app (so my.homey.app, the iOS app gave me some trouble)
- et voila, now everything seems to work fine and more importantly: I did not have to redo any flows!
Thanks again @Martin_Verbeek
!
Thanks! We just found out how much we depend on you
.
Probably you do not need to downgrade (guessing), delete the home device in the test version and restart app.
I was on the 5 something (test) and deleted the house.
Overnight version 6 updated automatically and the only thing I did was create a new house. (working on Android)
En ik maar denken dat ik op het Nederlandse deel van het forum zat
Maar wat ik echt wilde zeggen.
Martijn, dank voor het fixen !
Ik zat er pas ook naar te kijken, soort van automatisme ![]()
Hi @Martin_Verbeek , I am having troubles adding the Home device again.
My steps were:
- Deleted the Home device
- Updated the app from 5.x to the latest test version
- When I’m trying to add the Home device, the process does not recognize that I authenticated on the tado side
Could you please kindly look into it?
Just pushed an update, can you check if this solves your issue?
No luck.
The difference is that now I got the error in shorter time.
Can you go to the app settings and PM me the log.
To be sure, after the connected message, you do not do anything and wait for the spinner to be finished?
Forgot to restart the app, works again!
Hallo @Martin_Verbeek Wil je melden als je versie 6 naar PROD brengt? Ik heb een Homey die ik graag op Prod hou en niet op test versies ![]()
Alvast dank.
