[APP][Pro] Support for ONVIF compatible cameras (Release 2.0.60, Test 2.0.60)

Why is that? Just wondering, not judging!
Of course it’s voluntary, but when no one tests a test app… you won’t get your stable app :grimacing::wink:
And when a test app doesn’t perform, just install the stable app “over” the test app.

Understand where you are coming from  I tend to run them when it is absolutely needed, e.g. when I request/discuss a new device from a developer and they need testing. Developers of e.g., Netatmo, Electrolux, Yale apps etc. would probably confirm that I am quite liberal when it comes to this when need be. But prefer to run them within a limited time frame and stay on stables as much as possible. In this particular case just wondered how long Adrian thinks we are from a stable release, and if it will need substantially more time I will consider the need to move over to a test version of the app.

When I get a few days of no issues reported I will request it to become live. Sometimes the review process can take a week, although generally much faster.

So hopefully it will go live by this time next week.

Hello Adrian

Previously I was able to start and stop the stream via a “Play” or “Stop” button. Did you just turn that off temporarily or will it stay that way? I found this very handy as a few times the stream would not start running.

I have HP23 vers. 12.8.0 and App vers. 2.0.60

Hmm, I haven’t seen those buttons. I never added them myself or changed anything, so I’m not sure if it’s something in the Homey firmware. Where did the buttons appear?

Directly in the middle of the stream when you have tapped on the stream.

Strange, I never noticed it. I will ask Athom if they know anything.

Me neither, and I just checked, the Ring app also doesn’t show it. Maybe something they had in the RC’s but didn’t make it to stable.

That may be, I don’t know. But I found it very practical.

Seems to me it might be something that’s present in the video player component that the Homey (Android) app uses.

But not my Android

I do have the

buttons, but only on the dashboard.

Hello @Adrian_Rockall

Does this app (or Homey at all) support multicast?
My Axis camera and my Unifi nettwork system support multicast.
I also use Synology surveillance station and then I would belive that muticast should make sense, if supported.

Thanks!

Always start by reading the 1st post of app topics

BTW There’s a dedicated Surveillance Station app as well.

Many thanks for your reply, Peter.
I’m aware of the part with NVR.
My question was regarding if the app (and Homey) support multicast or not.

Cheers,
Olex

Simple answer is no.

Yes, maybe that is the answer and these buttons have only ever existed in the dashboard, because I still have them there as I have just noticed.

i was already affraid for that anser;)
i wil try figuring out how to get substream footage, lets see of that improves

Help! My Reolink NVR is not working anymore with the ONVIF App on my Homey pro.

So i deleted all the camera’s and try to added them again. I received the message: Error: Timeout after 10000ms

I try to restart everything.. but its not working..

Can you open the app settings page and select the diagnostics log tab, set the Log level to Basic Information and then try to add a camera. Once you get the error, go back to the log and tap on Send Log. Let me know the ID once you have done that.
