My Nous A1Z plugs have started to misbehave recently - And recently they did it again.
They all suddenly show as offline in homey.
I restart the Nous app, and they seem to come back, but I can’t control them.
Then I need to re-initialize them all one by one, and re-configure all related flows.
A restart of homey does not change anything, so it looks to me like I have app-issues?
If it has anything to do with this update ofcourse I don’t know, but the timing fits.
Is this only a “me” problem, or are there known issues - Any suggestions on this?
I have plenty other zigbee units attached, and it’s not a complete breakdown - only for my Nous units (4x A1Z’s)
Now I have made a flow to restart every night and every day before we come home..
Guess only step left, is to reset Zigbee in developer, and reinitialize EVERYTHING again… OH GOD NO!
This is a known issue with early models of Nous buttons, you just need to update its firmware.
You can either do this directly (you’ll need a Nous E1 Hub) or return it to the retailer for an exchange.
Hello! Are you still having this problem with the Nous Zigbee Smart Socket A1Z? I’m trying to add mine to the Homey Pro 2023, but they just keep dropping out of the network. And the strange thing is that they don’t show up in the Homey Developer Tools.
Hi SergeP
I have a 2019 Pro model..
I have recently concluded that all my ziggbee issues were caused by a single defaulted unit - a lamp from Livarno.. Suddenly it would not react correctly, and finally I gave up and disconnected it..
I tried to remove my automated homey restart… Now almost one week has gone by, and everything works flawlessly!
A new version of Homey Nous App has just been released.
This version adds compatibility for all Nous device drivers with both Homey Cloud and Homey Local platforms.
Hello ! Can i ask you to add the A8M ? I pretty sure it work like the A1Z (power socket with power measure too), but it’s not recognized when i added it in Homey.
I’d love to make a PR on your repo, but i don’t find it btw.
Here a screenshot of the device. (I don’t get why it’s in hex)
EDIT: I’m totally wrong, i should be sleepy, but it’s a matter device, and i see that you don’t have any matter device yet in the app. Do you think you can work with/for it ? If you can’t, i’m ok to help to develop the Matter integration in your app. I prefer to contribute than doing my own app on my side.
I suggest you to open a ticket at Athom for that problem, it’s not normal.
Power usage is part of such a power device and Matter knows how to handle it.
They must just implement it in Homey Matter driver.
I had the same when i started using nous devices, so I ended up removing them and now zigbee works great again, i will soon start to test if i can include them again
