[APP][Pro] Mitsubishi WF-RAC - Cooling, heating and ventilation

Hi Edwin,
Looks like since last update it almost never works to start the airco form Homey Pro. It fails silent and immediate rhe next poll it shows off again.

Log:723277a7-2f47-4518-a007-7dab3054f47a

Maybe you can find something.
Just started it from the mobile app M-Air without issue.

Maybe its in the model

All logs that I receive is that Homey loses connection with the airco. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that, other than say look at the FAQ in the first post of this topic.

Hi Dijker,

I’m experiencing exactly the same issues here. The app worked perfectly and Homey used to turn on all the air conditioners every day at 7:00 AM, until recently. This seems to have started happening since the last update. After the turn-on command is given, nothing happens, and the ā€œOFFā€ message appears immediately. It seems to refresh all the data, like the temperature, but it no longer turns on. I can still turn them on directly without any issues via the M-Air app.

I hope you’ve found a workaround?! Before I have to remove them, add them again, and set up all the flows once more…

Hm… I have reverted the mutex changes.

Can you let me know if everything is working as expected?

Hi Edwin,

Thanks for the quick response.
I tested it with version V1.2.3, disconnected the air conditioners from power, restarted them, and also restarted Homey. Unfortunately, this didn’t work, and the same issue occurred.

Then I completely removed one air conditioner from Homey, reinstalled it, and that worked! The air conditioner can now be controlled via Homey again. I also updated the flows, and they are working now too! The other air conditioners are still not starting via Homey, but I will now remove them from Homey and reinstall them as well.

So, the issue is resolved, but you do need to remove the devices from Homey and reinstall them, including the flows.

The question now is: Would this also have been the solution for V1.2.2.? (If you want to test this later, let me know, and I can manually remove one again and perform the test)

Hi Edwin,

Great App, thanks for the good work. Is there any update on adding the ā€œleegstaand pand/vacant" property?

Frank

Hoi Edwin.

Marco

Hi,
i don’t see the currrent power that’s been used

Also, in the totals tab, i only see the outside temp but there are more available in the insights, can you add them here too?

Is it a configuation on my end, or is there (another) to add it?

p.s. i have the SRK20ZS-WF

You did not assign static IP addresses for your airconditioners on your router.

Please read the FAQ in the first post.

Reading the current energy usage is currently not supported via the provided API.

Hi Edwin,
How do you see that there is no fixed IP?
Fixed IP has been set for all 4 air conditioners from day 1. My DHCP range also starts at 80.
Since I installed them everything has been completely off and on several times because the power went off.

Strangely enough though, I now see that 2 fixed IPs have indeed changed in the mena time (now 68 and 70 again), which I have now restored to what I noted down when I started using them.
As far as I can see, the air conditioners with IP 69 and 67 have never changed their IP.
I made another diag 9b4465ce-4110-4914-bb92-eba8d74844b3. As a final action, I turned on all air conditioning via Homey without any result.
What can you see that is going wrong?
Marco

Hi Rob,
I have exactly the same problem that as far as I can see that seems to start on feb 11.
Just a wild guess: What kind of router do you have?

I still see IP changing…

I do see something strange going on though. Your whole log, is only a few seconds long but is extremely long… I do see room for improvements here from my side.

Hi Edwin,

What you are seeing is 2 seperate devices reporting.

I have 4 airco’s in total with fixed IP from my Fritz! box. (DHCP range starting at 80)
FR: 192.168.1.67 / E8:16:56:10:82:D5 / ID: 24f6b082-4edc-4f92-bc2e-00a03b75e873

LK: 192.168.1.70 / E8:16:56:10:8A:57 / ID: a8a0fd89-39bd-434b-aeb2-41f422ac29db
(ā€œIDā€ is the property Value I see in homey developer)

192.168.1.68 Loses connection on regular bases, red triangle on the device icon.
I also see that on my wifi AP. As you said earlier, they probably have bad wifi modules.

As I mentioned earlier, I moved 192.168.1.68 from an other IP adress.
I saw that the homey device changed it’s IP accordingly, as seen in de advanded settinges of the device.
In homey developer I see you have saved the mac and IP addres.
Because of all that, I assume you (also) use the mac adress to keep track of them?

I hope this information helps you pinpoint the problem.
If you need more information let me know.

Kind regards
Marco

Hi Edwin,
Is there any chance you can pinpoint of solve our problem?
Marco

I just bought new airco’s. SRK20ZS-WF. The app works with these new ones with build in WIFI.
The description on the app page from Homey says: De Mitsubishi WF-RAC Homey App maakt moeiteloze integratie mogelijk tussen je Mitsubishi Electric airconditioners

But these are Heavy industries. Reading this page, i saw that it is about heavy industries airco’s.
Anyway, works great and i donated a bit.

Is it correct to assume that if an airco works with the M-Air app, it works with your app?

Hi Ronald,

I’m not 100% sure about this, but I’m pretty confident that if the Smart M-Air App works, the Homey App will work too.

I recently had the SRK71ZR-WF installed. It took me a while to connect it to the Smart M-Air app using the cloud-based setup.

After that, I tried linking it to Homey, but that didn’t work initially.

Eventually, I reinstalled the M-Air app and set up the air conditioner using the local (non-cloud) option. This time, I was able to add the AC to the app, and after that, I successfully connected it to Homey.

However, once it’s connected to Homey, it no longer works with the M-Air app. That’s not a big issue for me, but it’s definitely a strange way for the system to operate.
