This thread is for my new app that is still under development and testing. Awaiting certification by Homey but you can download it and test if you would like. It works fine with Panasonic Hz35 but should work with the hz25 aswell.
Images are temporary, they will be replaced in final product.
Add new device with previous login information and get the same error.
HOWEVER, if I try to add a new device with with my standard account (I have been using an other account for homey app) it works to add a new device.
Does it mather if I use same account as I use in the android Panasonic Comfort app?
New version has been released to fix some login problems for some users.
Fixed an issue where the app could get stuck in a login loop on startup, causing the device to appear unavailable. The app would sometimes trigger multiple simultaneous logins that invalidated each other, resulting in repeated 401 errors. Affected users would see the device connect briefly, then disconnect.
The reson it was recommended to use a dedicated Panasonic user account for the old Homey APP (I assume you refer to the CLI APP) was that we experienced that the early version of the APP could call the API so often that Panasonic considered the usage beyond normal & abusive and locked some accounts. It was then “nice” that only the Homey APP account stopped working, and that the account used in the mobile APP was not impacted. Since then the CLI APP has been made configurabel on polling interval. This is especially usefull if you have mulitple heat pumps since you then increase the API traffic even more (I manage 4 on my single Panasonic account). I use 15 min polling interval since I don’t need Homey updated every 1 min on the heat pump status/temp+++ and I have always used only a single Panasonic user account without runnning into any issues.
In this new Homey APP I believe the current poll interval is 1 min (right, @Johnny_Espesete ?), so you may run into the same issue - especially if you have multiple pumps. I would recommend increasing the default poll interval (maybe make it configurable like in the CLI APP?) to avoid possibly blocking by Panasonic.
The app has configurable polling but the code had a bug so the setting was not visible in the Advanced settings-page I published 2.1.8 for review which fixes this.
I need to slow down the version releases for a while so homey doesn’t go crazy on me
Thank you for your work. I have two Panasonic heat pumps. but it says cannot reach Panasonic Comfort Cloud on one of them. Both are in same account. I also see that Swing up/down and left/right showing value 2 instead of auto which I use. I use version 2.1.7
The automatic fanspeed for the panasonic airco works like a charm,
for testing purposes i also tested a random fanspeed, also with no problems.
Sadly I encountered an unforseen problem, I only can use the flap for the airflow direction in the highest position.
in one instance the default flap position was changed and not high enough and a door slammed into the flap.
I’m almost ashamed to ask, but could you also include a flowcard for the flap position ?
