[APP][Pro] Mitsubishi WF-RAC - Cooling, heating and ventilation

I will receive my Mitsubishi AC within a few weeks. I was wondering if this app also measures the power usage? Like current wattage and/or total Kwh

No, it does not.

Concerning Temperatures: it obviously requires a translation table (from read values to temperatures).

I did some PHP script to read out all current settings, and also to change the settings (after some Internet research and own reverse engineering).

Can gladly provide it - if someone can need it.

Sample output:

LED Status WiFi Adapter: 0
Model Nr: 0
Running: off
Operation Mode: Cool
Vertical Wind Direction: High
Air Flow: Auto
Preset Temperature: 26
Horizontal Wind Direction: Left / Center
3D Auto: off
Indoor Temperature: 25.5
Outdoor Temperature: 9
Electricity Consumption: 0

Interestingly the Electricity Consumption is provided in the returned data block (if I compare to other code that can be found at the Internet), but it always contains 0 for me (although the Smart M-Air app shows values) - no idea here …

any progress?

if necessary i want to test it?

There is a official app now

Yeah, you are posting in the app topic.

Hi,
Thanks for the great app!

Question: would it be possible to switch the airco also to Eco, Hi and/or Silent mode?

Thanks again

I’m having issues with the app. I cannot control my A/C with it: just nothing happens.

I checked my IP-address, which is fixed. It seems that the temperature is correctly received in Homey, and I saw the ‘outside temperature’ also changed. But other controls are doing nothing (I also waited for a few second delay).
How do I fix this?

Hi Renzo,

Can you restart the app, send a few commands to the A/C, then send a diagnostic report and report the UID here?

– Edwin

Hi Twan,

Unfortunately, this isn’t possible right now, and I don’t know when and or this will be possible in the future.
When I find out how, I am certainly adding this to the app.

Yes! 7afc35f6-c265-45af-ab28-c23cbcb54d17

I cannot see anything strange going on in the logs.
The commands are being send to the A/C as it should be.

How do you verify that nothing happens?

The connection between Homey and your A/C is extremely unstable (see the error logs).
You should try to fix that if possible.

It’s verified that nothing happens. It’s stays off when I turn it on and vise versa.
My homey is connected via Ethernet. And the A/C unit is in clear sight of the access point 3 meters from it so I really don’t know how to make it more stable.

Is an api error ‘unstable’ or is there an error in the api?

It means Homey cannot reach the A/C on the network.

That is not what my router is reporting. So there is something else…

Edit: @evdpol how do you explain that commands arent send/received? But status infor is passed through?!

I have 2 units connected and they work pretty well with Homey. So thanks for making this possible. however I have 1 problem and I cant find a solution for it.
Before hooking it up to the wifi I could use the self clean function on the airconditioning. The manual says it should also be possible with the wifi unit but I can’t find it.
I would really like this function as it eliminates any odours from the units.

Am I missing something or is it just not possible?

Hi Arrow,

It is not possible to enable / disable the self cleaning function of the airconditioner.

This is possible via the Smart-M-Air app, but not how Homey talks with the A/C, sorry.

– Edwin

Thank you for the clear answer. No need to be sorry.
I’m sure I can build a workaround using flows.

Hi Renzo,

I am now also experiencing the “connection error” myself…
I have to troubleshoot when I have the time, strange…

Will keep you informed.

My airconditioner works like after 5 minutes, so I think it has to do with the amount of requests and a cooldown.

I made several improvements to the code which drastically lowers the amount of requests, and will be releasing a new version of the app when this is proven to be more stable.
