[APP][Pro] LG ThinQ - Smart living starts with LG ThinQ (Community) (NL)

Hi Atilla, have no clue what is going on. The messages are related to Homey itself. But my app must be the origin. It is looping somehow

You can do me a huge favor if you can create a second login credentials for me, So i can try and reproduce this mystery in seperate development environment

Nederlands is ook goed ..

Vandaag een was gedraaid maar de meldingen uit mijn flows werden niet verzonden

even een aanvulling.

I get exactly the same error message for my washer/dryer “Missing Capability Listener: onoff” and my flow doesn’t trigger (I play a voice notification on my Google Hub when the program finishes").

Usually an app restart will solve this

I’m getting a notice every time I open a device since 7 days now

I do t have any pending accepts in the lg smartphone app

Was there a pending one? Maybe I do not clear it. Which version are you running?

V4.4.1

Didn’t have anything to accept in the app for week as far as I know and also checked all messages in de lq think app and there is nothing

Same for me. Checked all T/P&C in the mobile app. All are accepter. Still getting the popup in the Homey app. The app restart does not help.

Can you do one more restart of the app and after a minute or so, PM me the log (get it through app settings/ configure/ copy clipboard). Thanks!!

Done. Thanks, Martin!

Hello, could you please send me an example of the flow you mentioned? I just bought LG dryer and I would like my Sonos speaker to play a specific song when dryer/program finished. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey,

I noticed that after finishing a cycle, my washer/dryer sometimes goes straight to a “power off” state, but other times it first switches to “standby” and only powers off after about 10 minutes. Not sure why it does that, but since I want to receive an audio notification immediately when the cycle finishes, my flow checks for both states.

I don’t use a Sonos speaker but a Google Nest Max, and I tried several ways to make it “talk”. I was hoping to use (cloud based) AI generated text-to-speech so I could simply type the message directly into the flow card and then cast that to the Nest Max. I experimented with a few apps, but couldn’t get this working.

In the end, I used one of the many AI text-to-speech websites to generate MP3 files with the voice messages. I then hosted these audio files on the Homey FTP server and cast them to my Nest Max. The files are small, everything runs locally with no dependency on external cloud services, and the result is fast and reliable. I use this for all kinds of messages/warnings with other devices, like when CO2 levels get too high, indoor temperature is too high/low, there’s something in my mailbox, the backyard sprinklers are turned on/off etc.

Not sure how exactly it would work with Sonos playing songs, but the general logic of the flow should be the same.

The apps I use:

“Device Capabilities” - used to watch/listen to the state of washer/dryer
“Date and Time” - I don’t want any audio notifications after 21h
“Google Chromecast” - to control and cast to the Nest Hub
“HTTP/FTP Server” - to locally host the audio files on Homey

Maybe i do something wrong but why is this not working?

should be solved with 4,4,5

Will test this soon

Update: I have test it and now it is working fine thanks fot the quick fix

I’m using this app with 4 air conditioners.
For 3 of them, I can turn Display Light OFF via Flow without issues.

One AC behaves differently:

  • Display Light OFF works from the device control screen in the Homey app

  • The same action does NOT work via Flow

So the command is supported, but Flow doesn’t apply it to this specific device.

Hi!

I have the LG CV94E7S2QA, the combi washer and dryer. When I try to use it in a flow to turn a wash and dry (a cycle that I already configured as i was loading the machine) cycle on, it only washes and run a different program.

I can’t find a solution.

1, In the LG thinq app there is no combo (washer AND dryer). So I have to connect to it as a washer.
But the LG thinq app can control the combo just fine, and works perfectly.

  1. In the homey app I’ve tried the official LG thinQ app and the unofficial to controll the washer combo. And i can’t connect it as a washer and dryer combo, and that is an option in those two apps.

So I have to connect it as a washer, because that is the only thing it finds.
So I only have the options for a washer and when i try to start it from homey it overrides everything i already put in, to start a wash program.

plis help,
